Hi all Members My Today's Question is Why Peoples use Nicotine in e-cig or other Shisha when they know about its side effects on health?
It have thought becuase it gives you a temporary high and is addictive but its been years since i smoked anything
Nicotine is extremely addictive. Most people (like me) who smoke know all about the side effects on health but can't quit.
I never knew nicotine was bad for you. Its addictive but its the other things in ciggeretes that cause all the problems. That is why e-cigs are popular. They dont have tar or smoke getting into your lungs.
Personally i hate smoking but ive continued to do it for 10years, but thats what addictive things do. If i have a joint in the morning though i wont smoke all day and its easy not to, but without a J its almost impossible to stop. I dunno, maybe my addiction is more mentally than it is physically
I don't fully get nicotine. Doesn't seem to actually DO much... other than cause addiction. At least with morphine (another addictive substance) it feels nice.
Yeah that's always been my understanding really - I had a little Wikilook just to check on the effects - Maybe the question should be why aren't more people using nicotine .... "The release of neurotransmitters and hormones is responsible for most of nicotine's effects. Nicotine appears to enhance concentration and memory due to the increase of acetylcholine. It also appears to enhance alertness due to the increases of acetylcholine and norepinephrine. Arousal is increased by the increase of norepinephrine. Pain is reduced by the increases of acetylcholine and beta-endorphin. Anxiety is reduced by the increase of beta-endorphin. Nicotine also extends the duration of positive effects of dopamine and increases sensitivity in brain reward systems"
you making me want to start smoking e-cigs. a friend of mine tried to defend his smoking by saying tomatoes have more nicotine than ciggy's. well then why not get addicted to tomatoes rather than ciggy's i asked him. as for the tomato thing i dont know if thats true or not.
Haha, I can't see a group of smokers tucking into a tomato on their work breaks in an effort to quit! That's another thing I like about smoking, it's communal (think that's the word I'm looking for) - Especially at work. You head out to your shelter, take some nicotine and tell non-work related stories. It's a good laugh and it eases your worries. I for one feel after so slightly rejuvenated after a tab break. I'm not actually trying to promote here! Dirty habit this cigarette lark and you shouldn't start - Just speaking for myself.
That works both ways. I used to see a women outside of her house alone in the cold smoking. I have to guess her husband wont let her smoke in the house. So in some cases it isolates smokers.
Aye that's true, good point. But with the e-cigs I guess you can stay in the warm with your non-smoking loved ones. I suppose financially it could still be an issue - Those things aren't cheap and since nicotine is addictive that could be a negative. Still don't know if there's any real health issues with using them, but it could hurt your pocket.
ohhh i found one e-cig brand which have no tobacco, tar and nicotine if you all want to leave normal cigarettes then start use it and its also no any side effect on health get more detail and buy here flavor e smoking shisha sticks
Have you ever actually smoked? Because it definitely does something. I enjoy smoking once in a while, but I don't do it very often because I've seen too many people get addicted without really realizing what they were doing. I buy maybe 2 packs of cigarettes/year and usually end up giving half of them away to friends.
you could have been asking this of me. i smoked maybe a pack in my lifetime. probly not that much though but its close to that. and i never felt anything except for once or twice a coughing fit. i know from what i see that clearly cigarettes have some sort of calming affect but i pretty much decide i dont want to get addicted to something that only made me cough a bit and cost a mint. so i just stick to my more enjoyable addictions instead.
