Why the word "witch"?

Some use it as a generalization of a collection of totally different ideas
others are simply ignorant
some are just plain stupid
there are some who actually know the meaning of the word witch
anyway the word witch seems to be a very loose term in itself seeing as noone can really agree on the definitions of the two words witch and witchcraft.

 

pagans and us heathens are proud people... I'm not gonna change anything, I don't feel like converting anyone... they can convert themselves if they want to

 

maybe if you used an etymological dictionary you would see that since its very earliest uses the word "witch" has had negative connotations - nobody spent time making this a negative word its one of the few that retained its entire meaning throughout history
