Terminator robots would never bother to kill humanity, they would just encourage us to kill ourselves faster. Starting with Wall Street and the Pentagon. Its so much easier, just to give the Three Stooges all the high tech they can handle. Thankfully, self-organizing systems, will laugh at their insanity, and offer them a cookie instead. You can only defeat a self-organizing system, with another one. Mold is an example of a self-organizing system, that would survive if we killed ourselves attempting to kill all the mold in the world, using bleach.

 

How long did it take you to figure this out? That's been a foregone conclusion for centuries, even millennia. The Earth has experienced five Extinction level events. It's been 65 million years since the last one. I'm fairly sure it's nearly time for number six.

Only watched a few mins of the remake. Except for the short story. There actually was a welldocumented concept of a human @least looking visitor to wash dc vicinity. This is called stranger@the pentagon.

 

Frank Stranges was a nut (in my opinion. It seems as though he based Stranger at the Pentagon, more on Bate's Farewell to the Master, than anything else. the 1951 The Day the Earth Stood still was also based on that. Bates was famous for wanting Sci/Fi to be more exciting, than scientific. Stranges had cells of groupies, (Even had a chapter in my home town.) and taught lessons on alien races. information heard learned from his "Friend" who never materialized. Val Thor or Valiant Thor, or something. (Points for being the first to name an Alien creature after a Norse Myth by the way.) There is no documentation that he, himself had ever been to the Pentagon, or even the White House.

I'm sure Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange land had an effect on him as well. I mean really, Valentine Michael Smith is the dream of all UFO fanatics, A human being born and raised on Mars? Wow! powerful stuff that conspiracies are made of.
I'm not saying intelligent life doesn't exist out in the cosmos somewhere. But I am saying that any species intelligent enough to travel through space, has to be intelligent enough to keep their distance from a species as violent and destructive as us. They should also be able to monitor out meida and realize that we have been conditioned to fear them and we want to kill them or use them as lab experiments. Self Preservation alone should keep them from contacting us.

Thanks i got the title wrong. I guess ill lookup th yr it came out. On the other thread i mentioned the dc sightings around that time. Also too ikes farewell speech kinda ties in with some of this. Even if some of it unreal does get ya to wonder. Especially since an assasination is involved even likely more than 1. How easy of a solution that is to clean house. There are no other concepts as big as othernesses. & disclosures would kinda swerve some cottage industries @least seemingly so. I think this even above other things is wot bothers some folks.
