    So why the shift to the right? A lot of people have lost patience with Joe Biden, think he's not getting things done. Personally I think he's doing a good job fixing the mess his predecessor left behind. Could someone else do a better job? Maybe, but who? Could another democrat do a better job, and if so are they electable?

    Some feel a Republican would be a better choice, but right now I'm convinced that most don't want Trump back. If Trump's the 2024 nominee then many on the right won't vote for President at all. But if the GOP comes up with an alternative candidate, someone conservative but with a reasonably clean record, then the orange man could be knocked out of the running and the democrats could be in trouble.

    I believe the Democrats blew it and have a real problem with talent... no one in their base is truly up to the job of running the country - and the ones that do stand for the job up are just as bad as everyone else before them... the same old same old same.

    No one could think ahead and realize that relaxing all these rules was going to cause problems.

    And a word to all those right-wingers calling for more mental health assistance instead of gun controls... I cry bullshit!

    It is the republican right-wing administration of Reagan who began dismantling the mental health care system in the US, leaving us with hundreds of thousands of people who desperately need care, out on the streets, and causing more problems.
