thank you ganjaji! i feel ammachi chose me to be her guru more than i chose her when i went to have her darshan and hug, after walking away from her hug, she jumped out of her seat and came running after me accross the stage to give me another hug... my friend who is also a disciple and introduced me to ammachi said he had never seen such a thing i guress with some gurus, they have to prove their lineage to show they are from god... for ammachi all proof is in her smile
It is not only marriages that are made in heaven. Amma is a wonderful diine person. I will never forget her whispering in my ear, "Chella pillai... chella pillai..." (beloved son) as she held me close.
What a wonderful story... something happened to me showing how she tuned in she is. At the time I got her hug, I was really getting into Neem Karoli Baba as my guru, he was my fav so to speak... came to me in dreams, and I communed with him through his picture... in any kind of psychedelic state I could look at his picture and be alright, having a good trip. To me she whispered as she hugged "Ram Ram Ram Ram Ram" which is my guru's mantra, Neem Karoli Baba. Even though he is my guru and I am his chela, he welcomes his devotees to get help from all kinds of gurus and spiritual teachers... thus I also consider Amma my guru, and everybody when I know how to listen... But even though it sounds paradoxical, baba is my main guru, in a cosmic joking sense, and that what was Amma was doing by whispering Ram ram ram, instead of the usual Ma ma ma ma ma that she is whispering... She switched it up because the one consciousness gave hear the info, that I wanted to her my guru's mantra so I would have more devotion towards him and towards Amma as well... It also helped me understand that the "living" guru of Amma, and the "dead" guru of Neem Karoli Baba are ONE, and they are both equally my guru. Beyond life and time the guru works through the great beings of realizations no matter what happened to thier body in space and time, so we can see the guru everywhere in everybody!
I'm always quoting Srila Prabhupada, here goes again... This is an excerpt from the speech that Srila Prabhupada made at the February 25, 1935 Vyasa-puja (birthday) celebration for his guru, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati: Gentlemen, the offerings of such a homage as has been arranged this evening to the Acharyadeva is not a sectarian concern, because when we speak of the fundamental principle of Gurudeva or Acharyadeva, we speak of something that is of universal application. There does not arise any question of discriminating my Guru from that of yours or anyone else's. There is only one Guru who appears in an infinity of forms to teach you, me and all others. The Guru or Acharyadeva, as we learn from the bona fide scriptures, delivers the message of the absolute world, I mean the transcendental abode of the Absolute Personality where everything non-differentially serves the Absolute Truth. I'd love to get a hug from Amma!
