Why Nudity?

So, ever since joining this forum, I've learned some rather interesting things.
One of them is nudists are a lot popular then I thought they were.

I'm curious why these people decide to go nude.
Is it a sexual thing? Is it a nature thing? Etc

And when/where do you guys go nude?

I'd love to talk about it

 

It is simply a wonderful feeling. Liberating. Relaxing. Exciting. All at the same time. Give it a try. Strip down at home and do whatever you normally do. Cleaning, studying, cooking, chilling. Give it a try!

 

I'm just more comfortable being nude. I don't like the feeling of clothing on me.

 

So, simply about comfort in a sense?
Interesting.

Maybe I'll give it a go when no ones in the house haha

5. Clothes are expensive

3. it helps me meet like minded women
2. nobody ever wants to tackle a sweaty naked guy! lol
1. nothing is more liberating than being in a group full of nude people and realizing that your body is perfect just the way it is!

thanks, and yes high humidity area's really suck. you dont even step one foot into the water and you are soaked to the bone! there is a nude beach close by and I've never visited it, but now Im thinking I should spend my bday there lol!

I would do it but the last thing I need to see is any of my family members in the nude.....I'd spend the rest of my natural life in therapy after something like that! but a nude bday party with friends.....I could see that happing

Maybe they came to be souly for warmth and eventually became a fashion thing I guess

 

I dunno. I just do. I have gone for several days without being dressed, nothing sexual about it at all. In fact the other day I went camping, and spent 2 days without a thread on. Got sunburned, but I sure wished I knew that area better, I'd have hiked naked too. It just feels good.

we're the only animal that does a lot of things; human intelligence is really a pretty unique phenomenon.

 

I live near the equator. So naturally being naked is comfortable.

 

It's really comfortable, natural and it just sort of feels right.
It's also especially nice to lie around naked when it gets humid in the Summer.

 

I'm slowly started to do it more and more.
When I'm out and about, I like wearing thing materials with very little underneath and this is something I'm enjoying a lot.
Very cooling for one thing but, also very comfortable

 

I've been going commando for the past month. very refreshing!

 

Just do it. If ya don't like it, you'll know. If ya love it you'll know that as well.

I guess this is a very individual thing, so you will get some individual perspectives, but no general answers. I try to give a résumé of my own motives:

1. It’s just simplifying. For example, after doing some paintwork in your flat or working in the garden, you just have to shower and not to worry about laundry.
2. It’s equalizing – no need to care who has the better outfit, the higher fashion label etc.
3. It’s liberating and natural.
4. It’s comfortable and carefree.
5. It’s for free.
6. It’s a great sensual experience. Just remember the skin is our biggest sensory organ. If you ever walk along a beach, the bare feet alternating between the hot sand and the water of the coasting waves, feeling the sunbeams caressing your nude body and the warm summer breeze strolling your entire skin – you will know.
7. It gives me some feeling of being ok with myself.
8. Sometimes it makes me proud I dare to go nude, sometimes it gives some thrill feeling.
9. It’s some kind of nonconformity.
10. It’s an easy way to delight someone (ok, works not for all …)

For me it’s not a sexual thing at first (though our whole life and behavior is a sexual thing anyway, as we all are sexual beings), but I don’t switch off sexuality when I’m bare, as some nudists try. Just depends much on the situation. But – as you asked – I know there are also people whose impetus to go naked is preponderant a sexual thrill as they just get turned on doing so. I guess this is mainly a male thing.
And when/where do you guys go nude?

Most notably: when I feel like and when I feel comfortable and “safe” – I’m not a dogmatic nudist. No need to go bare and when you are cold.
Examples: at home, at friends, at the beach, hiking …

Maybe you can find some chance to try out in a setting you feel comfortable and safe with, maybe among good friends, or on your own. It’s hard to explain theoretically, but I guess you will understand when you give a try. But I don’t want to be missionary, you should find your own way and attitude.
