it would be cool if instead of war when country leaders disagreed they got into a fighting area and fought to the death with the media streaming live coverage around the world.

 

it's because people are gullable and easily devided against each other.
if the people in another village look a little different and its far enough away almost no one in village one knows any of them personally, then the priests of war can come up with all sorts of bs about how village two is a threat to them and so on, maybe commiting something in village one they can convince the people in village two are somehow responsible for.

i don't think this is going to alway be, for a number of real practical reasons in today's near future world. plus i've heard tell it is going to end perminently, one way or another, sometime in the next few centuries, if not sooner.

how this actually comes about may be interesting to see. i don't think its going to be a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but a concatination of everyday factors.

alot of people are saying that people are greedy because of money. i think that is false. With out money there would be a barter system set up. either way people would want to have the most of something. With out money people would still be greedy. Human beings work for self-interest. it makes sense, people take care of there desires b4 helping others. I believe everyone here can say they were greedy once also. The key is to have little desire for your self. then you can help others.

I think there is rarely peace because of human greed, selfishness, and fear primarily. I think people like Bush use our fear to satisfy their greed and selfishness. I think he wants all the toys, and all the power, and he's like a retarded monkey in a candy store. I wish he would rediscover cocaine and have a heart attack. If people know that they can have anything anytime and that everything is free they won't be greedy... why whould they be greedy and take stuff when thay can have what they want at any time? Thay wouldn't care if they have or don't have something at the moment because they can have it when they want.

the world has limited resources - thats why you can't give everybody anything they want at anytime. it just doesn't work that way

The stereotype that everything is peachy in Canada is false. Do we have the amount of problems that you have down there? No, but we have a hell of a lot of crap that goes on up here still.
Guns, drugs, racism, etc. are alive and well here.
