Why is there so much fighting here in H. F.

Excellent post the thing that i dont agree with is misinformation.
Many posts dont involve actual experiences but some garbage trolled from the net.

Seems like some people post just to post they dont put any thought into the subject matter.
Is there some sort of prize for most posts !!!!

I agree, although, the trolls that come and post one thing about cheating on their wife or figuring out how to finger their asses usually turns into pretty decent topics of conversation for us. I guess it kinda keeps things interesting here

 

oh yeah, just because you can't handle the world and have had to retreat to the wilderness leaving the soulless internet your only way to vent to others about the state of the world you have chosen to leave behind doesn't mean the rest of us are embarrassed or hate it ....... I may not like 100% of the way the world conducts itself, but at least we have the gumption to stay around and try to change it ...... even if it's on a purely personal level

the real reason for so much fighting on hipforums is the same as there is so much fighting anywhere .......... people believe that their opinions, beliefs and world view are the right ones..... and simply attack anyone who thinks different, as it's always been, as it prolly always will be

 

Hmm... and here I thought that living in a manner that showed the way of life that I think makes more sense then the conventional one was being the change I wanted to see in the world.... funny how people's perceptions differ like that eh?

For example, I look at someone who is knowingly living in the system while railing against it as a hypocrite who should really examine their own life before they start talking about other people who have chosen to actually to do something different....

 

it's not perception... it's perspective. I don't suppose there is anything wrong with becoming a pioneer and leaving the shit created by yourself, you ancestors and your neighbours behind ..... but removing yourself from a society means you have done just that.

who are you lookin' at? the only people you can really see are those you live amongst. You can't "see" people on a forum, you only see the minute parts of their lives they wish to dedicate to text (tho' i suppose you could argue different if they are fanatical online journal keepers) and i don't need to tell you how much of an individual's life you can see through newspapers tv and other associated media. Living in a system you are railing against only makes one a hypocrite if they are doing absolutely nothing to change it.

and the easiest way to do absolutely nothing about it .... is to run away from it

 

I wish that every member would read this post. I feel that it would be very benificial to understanding one another opinion and how to or not to respond.

 

Yes, I would agree with that, for sure.

The rest... well, conversation, whether online or off, is still the best way to create meaningful change.

Speaking openly and honestly about our opinions, and our differences and resolving them is not running away.

Well, at least not when you are doing it openly as who you really are and not hiding behind the internet.
