Why is the Pope so important?

    Apparently all of you are geniuses on religion, history and socialogy. LOL!

    Even the most selfish form of person will live as long as possible. The best way to live long and with less pain is to avoid pissing people off. If god were proven nonexistent, people would definitely re-evaluate the grand scheme of things (or lack thereof), and some would undoubtedly go on worshipping, but there would not be chaos caused by lack of morality. Maybe just a few crazies who saw their afterlives go down the drain.

    Cows don't have religion, do they? They don't run around killing each other, letting their animal instincts take over. In fact, I can't think of a single species that does that. Maybe they all have religion, no?

    FYI... none of those said the Pope just sat around and did nothing while the boys were being molested... maybe you should read what someone says before speaking.
