I was inquiring about Wassila, Alaska. You seem to share the governor's views. I suppose you are just one more in the herd of mavericks!

Does anyone else see the irony in someone claiming to be a Native American advocating the lynchings of people who think differently?

Perhaps you also think manifest destiny wasn't entirely a bad idea...?

    Grow up.

Exactly. Which is why the Europeans didn't feel so bad about exterminating the Natives. They were just savages who were going to kill each other anyway, right?

savages with no work ethic, no ambition

    probably saved them from themselves

i find it amusing how some people who whine about others

with no work ethic, no ambition

fail to realize that if those people had these things

that they might TAKE AWAY the jobs of the whiners

the whiners should be glad to support the ambitionless, really

You just proved that you can be Native American and be an ignorant, prejudiced, redneck. Sounds like that good ol' Okie redneck attitude has made its way to the reservation.

Can you explain in a logcal manner why you think socialism is bad? Do you even know the difference between socialism and communism?

Capitalism just got away with us. We concentrated SO hard on the "bottom line" that we forgot that there is also an ETHICAL responsibility attached to it.

i've suggested this before, although i'm not sure where, but:

What if Top Salaries were Capped? Say 5 times what the lowest paid worker earned?

What if there were NO Taxes, with the exception of SALES TAXES ~ say 30%? The more wealthy would, by having a larger disposable income to spend, be the one's that shouldered the heaviest load.

Most folks have computers and/or access to a computer. Are we incapable of letting the powers that be know EXACTLY where we're coming from, concerning ANY issue? Why aren't there places that we can go, online, to communicate those feelings? (That will be like a poll, where the citizenry could vote, but OVERSEEN, to insure that the rep isn't just rep'ing his own wants.)

Part of the melt-down has been lack of accountability by anyone for anything ~ the Blame Game. Add to that the absolute disaster that the lawyers have made out of our founding charters, the twisted interpretations and use of the laws that were put into place to protect us to completely SCREW US.

You know what? If an ordinary citizen can't make heads or tails of our laws, there is DEFINITELY something wrong...

    No prob! ;)

Truth is, we're all pretty much the same, imho, and it's the little differences that keep it from getting boring!

Ideology is all bullshit anyway. Doesn't matter if it's politics or religion. Only gets people and the chunks of real estate on this big ball of dust in an uproar.

What we've had in this country lately, isn't capitalism, it's corporate socialism. The social benefits were taken away from single mothers, the handicapped and others under the poverty level during the Clinton years and has been redistributed to major corporations. We are subsidizing the rich, and letting the poor fend for themselves.
    peace

so, if you're a low income family, paying no income taxes at present

all of your purchases--car parts, clothes, cough syrup--would be taxed at 30%

so i guess you'd have to buy less, thus adversely affecting local businesses

    merry christmas!

Exactly, the poor can't afford to pay more for necessities. They are just barely providing now. But the rich can afford to pay a little more tax on their Gucci bags, and Tiffany earrings. They still receive a reasonable price like the poor on toilet paper and bread and milk, so in a sense they are receiving a break as well. Just not on the extras.

food should be exempt from any flat tax deal. a lot of states food is exempt already so to me its a given that food and ill add medicine should be exempt. if that was the case i would have no problem with the sales tax system, although 30% seems much higher than would be necessary.

or should i say would have been necessary before we gave trillions away to the wealthy of the world..
