    I started out knowing how I'd reply to this thread, but then somewhere down the many replies I have gotten confused. I had got stuck in this thinking for a little while, I agree with some that say we aren't looking hard enough, that we expect it to be commercial, but mostly agree with the progression that music has taken. There are some fantastic music makers out there that have blended different styles and sounds together, and are still rocking. I guess my thought on it is, it's a short enough life, why stand still?

  10. Smashing Pumpkins have some good songs. I like their earliest stuff the best, though. I don't like later stuff like Melancholy really, though. "Tonight Tonight" blegh Too artsy fartsy.

    The Foo Fighters are just another harmless prepackaged rock act. Not my cup of tea.
