You're emotionally invested in a forum which, like this one, is chatty and friendly. Like work, you decide when it is okay to discuss your private life and to what extent. (I'm not at all invested in my craft forum)

At work the ass holes might be shocked, but they will keep their mouths shut. where on a forum, they might try to find a way to get a few digs in.

Samhains advice is good, to ask why and say how you felt about it, and I like your idea of sending a PM to that person. I would do the same thing. I always cringe when I see a moderator chide a user for a personal coment in public. I send a PM. I mean, I like to come to forums to connect, other people have different reasons for being here.

Ppl are just as smart or ignorant in any walk of life. I have no use 4 the useless. So, Babe, pop up ur middle finger 2 em, blow em a kiss, and move on. Unfortunately we shall have the gay/Lez bashin in life, but our lives (be it str8, gay,Lez, or bi) is 2 short 2 worry about pleasing every1.

 

I dont think its fair that anyone say something like that to us. Whats wrong with being gay n proud! I want a revolution, i want social change, i want to be able to walk down the isle in the store with my girlf on my arm and passionatly kiss her and not be scoffed at (she jus looks so cute fussing over which ice creams we buy (golden gaytime ) (Also the cold in the freezer when she leaves the bra at home...needless to say, the nips catch my attention) Anyway, If we want change, if discrimination is going to be kept in the past like it should be, we need to throw it out there, be gay, be who you are! I actually have a theory that gods plagues include sexist ways, discrimination etc, i nstead of like bugs and the flood, but this is the wrong forum for that.
