Has anyone ever noticed, most mainstream alphabets, I'm thinking Roman, Greek, Cyrillic, Arab and Hebrew, invariably have 'A' (or some equivalent--use your imagination) and 'B' as their first two letters?

How did these two come to always be first? Are they more commonly used? Or is there some interesting historical reason?

    Just curious... :)
