Why in a site of forums dedicated to free speech

I guess since you disproved my erroneous assumptions about you I'll afford you the effort of explaining my above point in a less acerbic manner:

Limited avatar selection does not qualify as abridged free speech. (smiley added for friendly effect)

There is a suggestions forum provided for forum issues including but not limited to inadequate avatar selection. Bear in mind, opening a discussion there is no guaranty that you will see new options but it does demonstrate an advanced ability and willingness to discuss ones small peeves with the forum without resorting to petty attacks on supposed hypocrisy with regards to free speech. (smiley added to blunt any unnecessarily negative connotations of the previous statement- meant purely as hypothetical)

There is a way to upload your own avatar but regrettably it is not free. Take heart, you're still free to sound off on any number of a wide range of topics here without your own special avatar.

seriously, Shaw-min is right. what kinda forum makes you pay for avatars? A fucking greedy one, and that doesn't exactly fall in with hippy ideals
