HA! HA HA and double fuckin HA! I think i pissed myself laughing. Well said, oh gods!....bullshit and doggie dicks? poetry!
You know what... it's their choice if they want to get a tattoo- not yours or mine. If they regret it later in life, then that is something they have to live with.
Some of us got ours later in life to begin with. No regrets ever for me. Let's see....scars or tattoos? TATTOOS~!
I agree, all mine have been later in life. No regrets here... I don't care what anyone else thinks either... it's my body and as long as i'm happy with it who cares what others think. My body is my temple and I shall adorn it!!
How are tattoos vulgar? Because you don't like the way some of them look? Dying your hair is unnatural....I don't hear you bitching about that. Birth control is unnatural....where is your pissmoanandcomplain thread about birth control? So, because you're trendy enough to keep up with fashion....tattoos are nasty? A tattoo is fashionable....just because it's permanent doesn't make it tasteless. I doubt you see a gorgeous woman and then she bends over enough for the back of her shirt to raise....or you peer at her ankle....or wherever else and see a tattoo and automatically become disgusted and look away. Fashions do not have a perverting effect. A perv will be a perv no matter the situation. Tattoos do not make perverts. Because I'm sure you get so much ass....like, crazy boy-band ass. Why should someone get a tattoo of miniscule size and easily concealed just because a few assfucks like you do not like them? Tattoos are for the people that get them....not YOU. I hope you choke.
When I get a tattoo, I make sure that I can live with it for the rest of my life... For instance, I just got my first one which is an ankh superimposed upon a crescent moon located on the back of my neck. For one thing, I have long hair; so it's easily concealed. For another, the ankh is an ancient archetype design and stands for protection. The Qabbalah (Tree of Life) concept fits into it, it symoblizes my childhood religious encounters with Christianity, and my contemporary religious views of which I hope I will never forget. The crescent moon fits in with remembering where the real basis of civilization began to form (the Fertile Crescent), and it is in the first quarter of the moons 28 day cycle so as to remind me of my childhood (the first experiences of my life). The dark side of the moon represents the first music album I ever purchased (Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon). The moon in it's entirty symbolizes a major concept of my religion (cyclic existance of birth, death, rebirth...), fertility and life in general. The ankh lying on top stands for the protection of both those concepts and my life. It's placement covers my brain stem and spinal cord; in essence, the tattoo protects everything that is me. Now I dare you to tell me that that in itself is not beautiful and well thought out; this isn't some "fashion statement" or something. Or, at least, it sure as hell isn't one to me; it spans over concepts that I can look back to throughout my life. The only other tattoo I plan to get is an eternity knot located opposite my navel, on my lower back; it is the Buddhist symbol for unity. It would symbolize the remembrance of my connection to both my mother and my father and many other things. So, please, before you shoot your mouth off about how tattoos have some sort of temporary fashion, try and remember that not everyone gets them just to embellish their appearance. Thanks.
i'm not gonna spend the time to read all these cuz i got stuff to do, but i agree with the fact that it's fucked up to talk down on anything anyone does. people all have their own values and traditions. it's ok to think that tattoos are unnatural. i respect your opinon, but don't tell me about it. and don't go after girls with tattoos then. i have most my upper body tattooed and i do it because i like it. not for a fashion statement. i usually cover them up because they are for me, not for people to judge me. and i personally can't find a girl attractive unless she is tattooed. usually pierced too. so i can honestly say i don't agree with you.
...I have eight tattoos and going back for more. i have stitches goes around both my wrists to remind myself daily that attempting suicide is not the way to go. If someone wants to me to cover those particular ones, they can honestly go fuck themselves. No amount of money is worth it. I personaly don't think anyone here was saying people can't have an opinion. But if one person can express their opinion, then so can everyone else. I do not judge anyone who gets a tattoo, simply because I don't know the exact reason. I know a preacher who has a tattoo of a devil on his hand. He will not get it removed and he will not back down from those who "oppose" it. So hey, whatever you want to do or think. Peace and Love.
I hope one of these days to get soma tattoos. I want a line of small ones going up the outside of my right leg, each mark symbolizing some big event in my life. One or two to start, and on from there. . .
