Why I disagree with Libertarianism

That, we can agree, is a problem. But the reverse- government people shaking down business, in one form or other- also is a problem.

 

FDR's reforms were the only way to bring order to chaos, on the assumption that the chaos of the world at large would eventually require the US have its shit together, just a little bit better. For example, half the fucking torpedoes launched in WWII were complete duds that either totally missed the target or never exploded. Without some sort of rule of law to reign in the damned idiots, the Titanic is the result! It was made with steel that peeled like a grape when they hit the iceberg, down the entire length of the ship, because the rivets were total crap they sold dirt cheap.

The ship was designed to be practically unsinkable, but was lost for want of a few thousand good nails.

 

Problem is the most greedy selfish evil people are the ones making the laws and regulations. Look at the drug war and mass incarceration for example.

We need more libertarians to balance out the tyrants and control freaks in government.

 

Libertarians have gerrymandered our votes and shredded the constitution, then elected Donald Duck. I say get it over with, and just nuke DC. Conservatives have obviously gone soft.

 

Conservatives are asswipes who only pretend to care about liberty when the democrats are in office.

They've rigged our elections, shredded the constitution, and insisted Donald Duck is the ideal president who should be above the law. Even their own children have abandoned fundamentalist services en mass and steadily disowned everything they stand for over the last half century or longer. Their population is fucking imploding, because the asswipes can't even get it up anymore and babies limit the number of vacations they can afford and cut into their retirement funds. We now have two conservative presidents in a row, destroying the entire world economy, in the name of saving our great democracy, for the minority of asswipes.

Past a certain point, there's nothing mean about calling them asswipes, its just a description of who they are. Hitler was a fucking insane asswipe, but all asswipes are not created alike. You can buy medicated ones for your hemorrhoids these days. We could be polite and call them other things, but conservatives prefer people to be blunt with them. If they want to demand people must be polite to them, I suggest they burn down congress first. Only one in ten Americans calls themselves a Libertarian, and shares the same definition as the party itself, meaning they don't even have a coherent organization, and are a mindless mob with pretensions of grandeur, which is why Donald Duck was elected against the wishes of his own party leaders, who are planning on impeaching him if they get half a chance to do so, without being lynched themselves.

It isn't what woole says it is. His broad misuse of "Libertarian", like his broad use of KKK, to mean apparently anything right wing causes nothing but confusion--especially to Libertarians--and leaves informed folks scratching their heads. Is he talking about the Libertarian Party? Obviously not, since that 's never held a single national office to gerrymander or shred anything. Trump supporters aren't Libertarians. They're mostly Nativists and Populists with tag along Republicans who haven't caught up to the fact their party isn't what it used to be.

 

Only one in ten Americans calls themselves a Libertarian, and shares the same definition of the word with the party. In other words, if I used the party definition of the word, almost nobody would agree with it. Since the common dictionary merely contains popular definitions, I'll stick with that until some Libertarian insists the dictionary is a commie plot.

 

What dictionary is that? You're the only person I know who uses the term that way.

The common dictionary merely contains popular definitions, while so-called Libertarians gerrymandered our votes and shredded the constitution, in the name of maximizing individual rights and minimizing the role of the state. Again, Libertarian ain't nothing but a catch word for screw your neighbor by lying about everything. Big Bird is not an evil commie plot, nor is taking away our votes and constitution granting anyone greater liberty.

Conservatives need to pull their heads out of their asses before they start another civil war and pay the ultimate price.

 

Well, I tend to disagree, libertarianism does put a strain on personal responsibility, but with that strain potentially comes much greater strength and self-reliance & an ultimately stronger society.

 

Bullshit, Libertarians have the worst social record of any group in the US and the entire developed world. Their numbers have been imploding for decades, their own children have abandoned fundamentalist services en mass, and they have destroyed our entire economy twice in a row now, and insisted Donald Duck cannot be prosecuted for treason or even income tax evasion. They are the last people on earth to ask for advice on how to be strong and self-reliant.

Self-reliance means Donald Duck should pay the same price for breaking the law as the rest of us. Self-reliance without rule of law is more bullshit anarchy from the mindless mob.

 

Meh, I don't agree, people should be largely free to make their own choices. Too many people nowadays are reliant on the gov to make choices for them

 

Go ahead, take a crap on the courthouse steps and tell them you are exercising your freedom. The US has over 300 million people, and without rule of law they will eat each other alive, as they are currently endeavouring to do thanks to Donald Duck goading them into civil war, and Libertarians totally trashing out our government.
