why i beleive in God:

because i can. because theres no other explanation. so because i can go kill people there is no other explanation? or because i can create my own religion tomorrow, there is no other explanation?

because theres no other explanation to why things are. i didnt mean why people do things, thats there own doing. go kill someone...have fun. thats youre doing. i ment the world...anything, the big bang theory doesnt make sense to me. (JUST MY OPINION OF COURSE)


a lot of history is based upon that written in the bible. why is there an AD and BC? why is there an earth to begin with? why are we who we are today?why is there ad and bc?- you gotta be kidding me! why is there an earth to begin with.... well, you think christianity is the only answer to that question? let's look at science which gives a LOGICAL, TESTED answer for that.... or even use your spiritual self combined with that ( i know i do).... and why are we who we are today?- see previous answer

i dont trust science. i had to turn somewhere. you dont trust science so you have to turn some where. funny... i grew up in a christian home and i dont trust christiany or religion in a whole, so i did the opposite, i turned to science. it's much more logical. i still have spirituality but it's not based in a religion that has no prove and a "God" that is gonna send me to hell because i dont believe in what i cant see[/QUOTE] trusting science, in other words. evolution...i dont beleive we evolved from any species anyone tries to tell me. thats just how i am.
the bible makes much more sense to me. how we're the smartest beings on earth. we dont act on instinct and we have the ability to think about what we do besides just doing it. why? because i beleive we were created in Gods image as i was taught.

well, first of all.. the three religions arent exactly RELIGIONS in a sense that they create wars and support fundamentalism... but ill give you two examples of many, daoism and buddism....


second..you dont trust science because of evolution and because and consequentially dont think we came from another species...

just to let you know something that you may not know about evolution... no one is saying that we were once apes... just that apes and humans came from a common ancestor. there are a lot of similarities between other primates and humans... to ignore scientific proof is just ridiculous.

this might come as a surprize to you, but i love jesus and i follow him. i dont follow christianity but i feel that they church has messed up many things ( i wont get into that now cause i could write a book and im getting tired)...

but there are ways to incorportate christianity and science together without saying "i dont trust or believe science" (when science makes a lot more sense).... faith and science are two different things and where in the bible does it describe what humans were like back then?

i dont find it hard to beleive you love jesus. many people do that dont think the same things i do or that other people do, but i dont think that makes it hard to beleive that anyone can have their own opinions.

i can say too i agree with you with the messing things up. (not necassaraly church) but people who do follow christianity.

i think people who go to deep and try to defend their christianity with not excepting other peoples opinions (which i may have done just now, but i didnt mean to in such a harsh way if i did...? w/e) but those type of people who also are like, "you're not a christian, you're going to hell. now i get to sit here and preach to you". its them who make it "oh, is this what its supposed to be about?" when really its not.
i think its more or less how you yourself decide to beleive what you were brought up to beleive.

i also, love what jesus is, was, and stands for but i dont follow the church.....

-like many ... you dont understand the trinity.... there is the father, the son, and the holy spirit... Different parts yet alll the same body. For example if you had a triangle the son would be one angle.... the father would the another angle... and the holy spirit would be the other angle.... different angles but the same shape

 

I understand the notion, however it is a silly one.

I suspect it was created to find some answer to the obvious contradiction. Do you really believe that when Jesus said "father", he was talking about himself? And the conversations with his father/self? Was Jesus a schizophrenic?

People felt the need to elevate him to the status of God because they felt uncomfortable worshipping him otherwise. This type of thing is common in many religions.
