Why Hinduism?: A General Hinduism discussion thread

Reading the Gita gave me a holy book I could believe in, one that jived with the prior "inclusive" philosophies of God and the divine I had formed in my younger years.

It made sense to me that all of the religions were in a sense God speaking to us, whereas my Christian propagandists of my youth tried to convince me that only their specific sect of Christianity was true and valid.

I learn further to the Gita than the Christian Bible.
