Of course, we can hear His words from indirect ways ways but they are ignored a lot. Looking into the bible we take into account the only 'only son' and anybody can for the World go further than a satisfied love into the realm of the Living Dead.:D I like the living Living better.

    Deuteronomy 22:28-29

    28 If a man finds a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

What if the entire world followed the word of Muhammad instead?

We'd be busy chopping bits off criminals and casting stones at loose women I suppose.

Would we? I mean, I know we did as Christians, historically, so there's no real reason to think ourselves incapable of a relapse whether we're following Mohammed OR Christ. But do you really think that one's religion makes a person a bad person? I was under the impression that people made a bad religion, not the other way around.

I think the fundis and the orthodox get much better deal out of the raw text of the bible. I do not know how mush of a gloss you can put on it without being dishonest to the original texts which were written some thousands of years a ago in societies with a radically differing moral zeitgeist. I think that the bible is only important as an significant work of literature & mythology rather than having any value as a moral treaties.

I put no faith in the bible. A God that acts as a madman killing and torturing people and expecting you to worship and praise him is more likely to be a devil pretending to be a god.

yeah i beleive in the bible never joined a church though

i never even read the bible

but i think all relegions are pretty good even the ones that wont except you into it unless your born into it

also its a good way to gather people together you dont have to talk to someone but you could good ways of realizing that you are not alone in this world

yeah god is a good way to realize that maybe they is a creator like that

that sets you out there to build your own paths in life and its totally up to you if you want to go up to him

awwwwwww yeah the thought of some being out there given you the freedom to live your own life built ya to make up your own god damn mind

So why would you want to belive something you've never read? That's a pretty big leap of faith.

I mean that the idea of a christ...someone who is pure in idea and has a clear idea of how to solve consciousness and make it a reality....that is pristine and I love that alot.

LETS NOT FORGET ... before Nicea Christianity was a Spiritually grounded ideology. Disscussions, Ritual/Religious Practices, and meetings were held in HIDING. After Nicea it was in the open as the RELIGION of state (Rome) and the LAWs of state drawn from DOCTRINE. What was something beautiful became a DETERENT for the masses and a tool of social control.

Now don't get me wrong I still am dead sure there was a guy called Jesus who was among many years ago hence why I consider myself a Christian, However any main stream Religion has his life and mission completly ass backwards, hence why I consider myself a Heretic.

If you do some homework on some of the Heretic Sects of Christianity that were present at Nicea it will blow your mind to see what our concept of CHRIST could have been and it just didn't make the cut. Remember Christ is the title.->It is the Essence the Soul the Energy what ever you want to call it that was incarnate in the man Jesus.

And of course the Gnostic Gospels and the Burning of the Library!? COME ON. I smell some major poo poo.

All of this is SOOO much more then meets the eye, and somebody is working quadruple overtime shifts to make damn sure religions are only 1/2 truth.

Thats the way I see it.
