I've said it before but you need to learn to look at women as just another person and try becoming friends with a few. Without getting all butthurt about being friend zoned. Because it will garner you interpersonal skills with women, you may meet some of their friends, and also when out with them you will be viewed as more appealing and less threatening by other women.

I've never noticed a tendency in American culture to avoid eye contact. Actually, the only time I've ever avoided eye contact is when a guy is trying to catch my eye and I'm not interested haha. So maybe that should tell you something.

Eye contact has always been something that projects confidence and sincerity in American culture, so I just really don't know where you're getting that from.

I understand there are culture barriers that are hard to overcome, but you also don't bother to listen to any one's advice so its not like you really want anything to change. You just want someone to blame.
