why does HF need so many boardS?

you know if the boards that were pretty similar were all combined, then this site would be seriously popping. Threads would actually get replied to...

 

I just look at "new posts", puts them all into one. Easier that way.

 

New posts is the way to go. You get to see what's going on in ALL the threads. Kinda.

 

Gotta go with Scratcho on this one man. I almost exclusivly use the New Posts thing, unless I think there was a good religious or philosophical thread that I need to go find

Sometimes it doesn't seem to show too many though, maybe if I click it a bit too much in succession. I think it's best to show at least 50 in the New Posts page, ideally like 100 say.

Just gives you more options from throughout the forum, which I think is nice!

I run a much smaller forum than HF (but still fairly active) and my New Posts button shows the previous 90 days of posts! That's about 19 pages haha

But I know not everyone will want that much

 

"new posts" here shows all the posts that were made since last time you were signed on. so if you've been away for a couple days, you'll get 100 threads listed. if you've been gone for an hour, you might get 10.

i'm pretty sure that's how it works on all the forums i've posted on. i ran a small forum for while too, and i never even realized that you had the option to change the new post parameters.

 

erm, I think I just used the "getdaily" command on my MyBB forum. So the URL becomes:

yeah. I like HF, but having the number of boards it does makes individual threads easier to ignore. You don't get a response as quickly, unless it's in Random, relationships or Stoners Lounge, but a lot of boards get responses like once a week...

i hear that's actually a great business. My friend has a hot asian girlfriend with a hot sister and he ended up setting up a photo shoot with the two of them wearing socks and posing with them and stuff, then sealed their used socks in vacuum baggies and sold them on ebay/other sites. People will pay a lot for used socks especially if they are endorsed by a sexy asian sisters backstory.

 

it wasn't quit like that, if you signed up there he ended up with your home address and wouldn't stop sending you his dirty undies until you paid him a lot.
