I know. Some people on here said it was overdramitized, but they didn't hang with the wrong crowd like some did. Shit actually happened on a day to day basis.
I'm not saying the events that happened were unrealistic, more of how they are plotted and portrayed. Especially with Casper. It's a comedy-of-errors Shakespearean set up and it really cheapens the film. But at the same time, I think what the director was really going for was controversy. And I do respect how well he pulled off the 'documentary' feel. A side note: as a middle schooler who couldn't get weed, this film introduced me to whip-its. =/
By the same guy. It's kinda the same except the main characters are a little younger and it's set more in the boonies.
Interesting, for some reason I was under the impression that Larry Clark wrote Kids himself. A neighbor of mine recommended me Ken Park which is Clark and this Harmony Korine's second team-up apparently.
