why do you tolerate female irrationality?

And you still buy the kid a candy bar if it throws a tantrum in the supermarket. Pretend you are in control

What else can we do if we can not accept it!? Tolerating is the next best thing :p Otherwise it would be attempting to control them (waste of time) :D

Kills me this thread! Lmao you guys are so hard done to!
Makes we want to give you all a hug and say " ahhhhhhh "

I remember my dad, he was mostly deaf. And wore 2 hearing aids.
When my mum was having a moan, we girls would watch him scratch his head, and sneakily turn his aids off...very funny!

My x husband's biggest complaint was I wouldn't argue back!
I'm sure you men are just drama queens, looking for a mum! Lmao

    Love you guys!

Your dad sounds like a wise man :) I take it he 'went deaf' soon after your parents got married?

Here is a few things I have observed from people over the years, including myself.

    1. We all can be irrational when presented in a situation that out reaches our limit of tolerance. We all have those things we are sensitive about, and if you overstep those things... the beast will come out in all of us.

    2. People overreact to emotions. Which is funny because people often cry outrage for someone showing emotion, but they... themselves are showing emotion by opposing the expression of emotion. It's weird, lol. But, it's been done to me, and I've seen it done to others. I guess it occurs because of society's view in regards to showing emotion. Males aren't allowed to show emotions. And females are allowed, but are seen as mentally unstable when they do show emotion.

    3. For the most part people suffer from some sort of mentally instability, such as insecurities, depression, anxiety, etc. Sounds scary, I know. We're scared due to the stimga mental illnesses have. But, these mental instabilities are minor. It's simply that little voice that is telling you bad things, but for the most part you can deal with it. Therapy is always beneficial. And a social network is great. Of course, there is always dealing with it in a socially acceptable, but unhealthy manner, such as smoking, social drinking, working a lot or achieving a lot (I don't want to say over-working or overachieving), etc.

Then comes the people with moderate to severe mental instabilities. As much as you like to think that, that one person at your workplace is a person that has a moderate to severe mental instability, odds are they aren't. Again, it's the overreaction of being presented to emotions. Now, people with a moderate to severe mental instability do exist. I'm just saying that for the most part it's rare for most people to encounter one. And if you do, it's only one in your lifetime, like that one family member, or that one person you once knew. If you honestly, truly encounter a person with moderate to severe mental instabilities... you wouldn't be so belitting, unless you're a sociopath. Which would mean you're a person that has a moderate to severe mental instability. Most people, when they encounter someone with a moderate to severe mental instability, are either truly scared of that person, or their heart truly goes out to them. Either way the person with that moderate to severe mental instability will change that other person's life.

At least that's what I have observed over the years.

Lol this sounds like my dad. He has been mostly deaf my whole life and just refuses to wear his hearing aid. When my mom is at him for something he always turns himself so she's talking into his deaf ear only. He's always got some excuse about the batteries being dead or having lost it if she asks.

Oh yeah, and op, don't blame women because you don't understand us. It's not our fault you're too dumb to figure us out.

Don't blame women for their disproportionate irrationality. It's not like they are like that all the time on purpose.

I hope you realize this is more of an insult than a compliment if helping their image was your intention. :D

I just think we should not blame them for something they only deliberately emphasize some of the time. Most of the time they simply can't help themself being so irrational.

It's like blaming men for not being able to multitask.

    Please, men invented multitasking.

    Also:

Of course it's their fault. Nature and the person aren't mutually exclusive entities.

Don't buy into this 'it's not my fault you believe my lies/don't know how to react me when I'm misbehaving' victim-blaming flip. It's a way for them to absolve themselves from behaving like civilized, mature adults. When you enable them and put them on a pedestal you're doing more harm than good by preventing them from growing up by removing the need for introspection.

Acknowledging women are outrageously irrational to the point they can't help it is putting them on a pedestal?

Eating during your job is not multitasking.

MEN invented multitasking? Lol. When you can start laundry, load a dishwasher , mop the floor and breastfeed all at the same time we'll talk. Until then go sit down and watch tv, sweet little boys.

Well, aside from it being both false and sexist to a certain degree, to "not blame" in other words "accept" poor behavior simply because it is prevalent is very much backwards thinking. On the pedestal, I was speaking in general.
