you ladies, believe me, you are so right, while I don't have tourettes, I have heard that tourettes activity is linked with activity in the temporal lobes, where i have severe seizure activity and MJ, along with anti epileptic medication (but i HAVE to use both in combo, which is looked down upon- I could give a damn- the Moralist Doc weren't the ones unable to drive, fainting and having seizures and violent psycholtic episodes)

And this precious herb keeps me together- I have learned to use it, not abuse it, respect it, and it continues to lead me down the path to healing and knowledge. LONG LIVE MARYJANE!!

i hate how hipforums doesn't continue to give you reputation points, you sum things up so well! I am with you on the alcohol personally, I used to drink just because it was "there", and once I finally split from alcoholic ex i was just thrilled to permanently keep alcohol from my life and finally start smoking pot again!

I smoke weed to lighten my life up. It makes my daily life a little bit more interesting and currently it's helping me get over the OxyContin cravings that I'm still having.

I smoke/vape for many a reson I see last post in this thread is quite old I think stoned but this thread worth keeping alive plus im bored this moring :D One of the many reasons is pure enjoyment of the feeling so called reccreational cannbis use but I feel it goes further then that; I can smoke an indica domanint strain to relax my body stop aches and pains froma hard days workout better then say ibprofin a legal pharmacutal for the same use, help my sleeplessness. Any cannbis seems to help my social aniexty which I have quite severe but am lucky to have a lovely plant as medicen and people who love me who can forget/mabey allso have a few stoner moments with me:D Life is good and mine has certinly been inhanced by cannbis. I hate how non medical people simply get painted with a broad brush as reccreational user simply b/c they dont have a green card or w/e its called the medical benefits are undoubtfuly there by my first hand experince.
Take care all enjoy your herb and be safe, *randy*

    I smoke because

1: It allows me to organize my thoughts better

2: It gives me lots of time to contemplate the meaning of Tao

3: It makes me feel happy of course. Happy all the time is better than some of the time.

4: It helps me control my anger problems. Tho I need to learn to control them better without it.

Btw I smoked my first bowl in almost 2 years last week. :sifone:

I've smoked a few times, and it took the third time to fully get used to the high and enjoy it to the full extent. After that third time, I felt incredibly more at ease, even days after the high wore off. It definitely enhances my ability to appreciate art and gives a lot more depth to the culture I see in things. A lot of things in my past I am able to let go of. Also there's no doubt that the high feels amazing. I remember watching this while high: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD-48WUGMY4

It put me in a different state of mind and gave me a lot of unique feelings. I have definitely had some unpleasant side effects, such as a tiny bit of paranoia, but the more times I smoke it, the less intense the paranoia is. At times the time distortion can be a bit annoying, asking the same question to somebody 5 minutes apart, hehe. Also I do have a bit of trouble focusing for around 36 hours after the high wears off, but coffee and a good night's sleep tend to remedy that.

Overall, weed definitely improves the quality of my life, and I have definitely come to like the "stoner culture". I explain this to people as: "I didn't truly understand Adult Swim until the first time I smoked pot."
There's also the more ancient culture that revolved around weed, such as shamanism and similar things. I definitely find that very fascinating, and it seems like smoking weed can definitely help you better understand that culture.

So basically, I guess that means I smoke pot for artistic and cultural reasons.

Here is a funny update: Despite my seemingly ranting rave about Marijuana on Page One, due to some very crazy circumstances, I am actually now considering try Medical Marijuana as a substitute for my off-label prescription of opioids for my Bipolar Disorder. Talk about doing a 'one-eighty'. But I will try it again and see if it helps.
