In the 1700s, before modern transportation and communication using delegates made sense, your delegate rode a horse to the capital or someplace and voted on your behalf. But why do we still do this dumbshit today ?
Iowa still hasn't been able to get the results out. The ponies are slow. Does that answer your question?
The democratic education programme: Representatives are elected and can choose which way they vote on issues brought before them. Obviously their 'Party' will have a particular line on the matter and the Representative will be asked to tow the party 'line' irrespective of whether by doing so S/He is voting against the wishes of the majority of the people who elected him/her. The Constituents. IS THAT DEMOCRACY ??? Delegates are mandated to vote in one particular way by the majority of his/her constituents, irrespective whether such vote is contrary to the Delegate's own political opinions or principles or contrary to the policy of the political party the delegate belongs to. QUESTION: which of the two systems of voting is more democratic ???
