assuming you are a white dude living (or coming from suburbia) that explains a lot about your comments, because i do agree they were a little ignorant...

why study BAD hiphop anyways? lil wayne has absolutely NO intellectual value in the lyrics and the beats are subpar at best. STUDYING lil wayne is like trying to analyze a 6 year old's scribble drawing for underlying MEANING and artistic value... his music is to bang in a trunk and dance to in a club, not decipher and bob your head to

some people have the same small amount of control on their actions as others have on their mouths - the two types of people often meet in the most amusing and strangely satisfying ways, in my experience

and where the FUCK did my sig go?!?!?!?

I would have to agree. I just listened to three of his songs and I just cannot get anything out of it. Yeah, I like how he takes some old samples and incorporates them into his music, but I'd rather just listen to that than him rap along with it. His lyrics are trite and his voice and rapping style are grating on the nerves. It sounds like mainstream, commercial hop-hop and it is. I cannot understand what all the hype is about.

But, as I say, to each their own.

Did I say I study Wayne? No. Rap and Hip Hop in general... All of it... I am on topic of Wayne, so I didn't think an A to Z list was necessary...

And please don't try to talk to me about the hood when I had crack heads knock on my door 5 days a week at my last place talkin about mowin my lawn for a couple beers and shit...

And as for ignorant.... I'll wait for the day when people like Common who DO represent the hood make a rock album... Then maybe you and whimbrel will have a point.... I won't be holding my breath for that day by any means...

sounds like you got the real front of the whole hood, eh? you really know your "ghetto" mentalities and how to act, right?

all im sayin is that if you truly were aware of some of the stuff that goes down, you wouldnt be saying stupid shit like insinuating a hood nigga cant make rock music....maybe you didnt mean it in the way it sounded, but it sounded wrong

(im not claiming i am all knowing about anything "hood" either, but i mean really...if you spend any amount of time in an inner city, you'll be talking to a crack head sooner or later, haha)

The first paragraph is just retarded if you're implying that he doesn't know his shit because he's white and suburban. How exactly would you describe yourself?

I can kinda agree with the second paragraph though, at least for a portion (majority?) of Wayne's shit. I guess there it just comes down to taste though. I like to bang my trunk and smoke one and I like to dance at parties and in the club. I see how some people want more "substance" though.

it isnt about people that "REPRESENT" the hood (in your eyes, because you aren't the hood) making rock music

you are just making a lot of wild claims about shit that you cant really say anything about. who are you (or I, for that matter) to say who legitimately reps THA HOOD? we're two white dudes that aren't that aren't from that lifestyle man - correct me if i'm wrong though. im just assuming that you didnt grow up with bullets over your head

apparently you still dont understand my point so ill reiterate - he has every right to put out a rock album and that doesnt make him any less credible (you can judge for yourself where he stands right now as far as that goes) and people, especially young black people...are going to eat it up

Sooner or later and living on the same street as two crack houses are not the same... You know, the kinda place where people turn off their porch light at 11pm cause the guys who have them on are telling the street they're still open for business... But what do I know... I'm white

See my reference to Jimi Hendrix for clarification...
