I tried to put up Grapes of Wrath---couldn't get anything but trailers, etc for the movie. One of my all time favorites, as I saw and knew many of those that came west in their old junky cars loaded to the max. Went to school with many. Married a daughter of one.

The issues raised and shown are pertinent even today.

All good films there Vlad, John Mills was in a few of them IIRC, a brilliant actor, another one he was in was 'Hobsons Choice'. Another couple of old actors I like were James Robertson Justice, and Jack Hawkins, if either of these two actors are in a film I usually take it as a sign it'll be a good one.

In overall terms I liked the film, but I thought Peter O'Toole's performance a bit stagey at times.
I liked Bridge on the River Kwai.

    Dialogue from The Maltese Falcon.
" By gad, sir, you are a character. There's never any telling what you'll say or do next, except that it's bound to be something astonishing.."
