    It drives me insane.

Why bump a thread from 2007?

I think they are kind of rummaging through the various forums not realizing you can always see where people are posting by clicking View New Content at the top right of the screen. Hmm. Yeah I guess that is kind of irksome because it's no use responding to the thread. In fact maybe we shouldn't keep old threads around after they've been here a year or two.

they do it to avoid getting scolded that "there is already 20 of these threads learn to search ya bastard"

and it generates a "fuck off newb this thread is 2 years old" comment

    cant win either way

the best is when they try and give the OP of the 10 year old thread advice not realising the OP is probably dead or moved way the fuck on from whatever they were posting about

there's a couple reasons that people normally bump old threads. number one reason, their mom just brought a new computer down to the basement for them for their 35th birthday, and they're just so excited that they have to reply to every thread posted in the anal forum, ever. often while pretending to be a female. i assume they are wearing a stolen pair of mom's panties while this is happening.

number two reason, they're dude111 and bumping a thread from 2004 makes them feel like the glorious 80s are only 15 years gone instead of 25.

If you find the thread interesting, why not?

Some of us are nostalgic for those times [IMG]

For example Donald Trump was overjoyed during the housing crisis of 07' when he could buy up property for pennies on the dollar [IMG]

sometimes they think of something to say about the subject, after its scrolled off the table and into the bit bucket, that's burning a hole in their brain until they get it said.
that happens to me. a lot.

and then there are, and i think most of them, people who are just too bored and unimaginative, and look for something that might be interesting to them and they don't find it on the page that's currently alive.

I really hope I'm still so lame 10 years from now I can remember to bump this thread.

i do have a certain nostelgia for before 2000, and even more for before 1980. but most of all, my nostelgia is for a future that comes after the future eco-pocalypse, when the famens and pandamics will have already done their work of reducing human population to near zero or beyond, and furry sapiens will have inhiereted the earth.

we've hit that age where at this point, we really only get lamer from here on out. so if you're that lame now, you'll continue to be at least that lame 10 years from now.

on the other hand, we're also at that age where memory starts to fail. so you still may not remember to bump.
