When did I do that? What does it have to do with your generalization about Muslims? Do you think they all have child brides? Most of them?
Yes, we've heard the "some of my best friends" line before, and I never accused you of hating Muslims--only of stirring up hate against them for political purposes.

The Promise Keepers aren't a "fringe church".They're an inter-denominational movement of a quarter of a million men. Nor are the Churches of Christ a "fringe church". They have nearly 12,000 congregations and a total of around 1,4 million adherents. And they are only one of the conservative Evangelical Protestant churches who make up nearly one-quarter of the U.S. population and a good chunk of the Trump base. And my point was not to equate them with the plight of Muslim women but to point out that if WP is looking for patriarchy, he doesn't need to go to Muslim countries or communities to find groups that promote it right here in the U.S.A.
Not my point at all. To counter the charge that Muslim women have no rights, I was pointing to countries in which women do seem to have them. I mentioned that 9 of them have had women presidents, and mentioned Turkey, Indonesia, Algeria, the UAE as countries in which women seem thus far to enjoy significant rights and social status. I said " Indonesia is a country, unlike the U.S., that has had a female president. Some 40% of senior business executive jobs there are held by women. And women account for over 18% of members of Parliament." To which your response was whattabout the floggings. I pointed out that they have been thus far confined to one of thirty-four states: Aceh, which is the most conservative province in the country, the former seat of the first Islamic kingdom in Southeast Asia, and the holder of unique autonmy under the Helsinki agreement that was given to it to end a civil war fought withe the rebel GAM .

You're now bringing up a law which hasn't yet passed that would restrict abortions and extramarital sex in Indonesia. This would certainly be a disaster for Indonesia, not just for women, and reflects a lurch to the right that by no means is confined to that country. In the U.S., Trump and the Republican-controlled Senate are confirming large numbers of judges at all levels of the judiciary with the intent of shifting the laws of this country in a direction which will, among other things, restrict abortions and birth control. The same folks who are worried the most about Sharia are the ones who want to restrict the rights of American women, and I think are the greater threat. No, I don't celebrate that trend in Islam or elsewhere. The anti-Muslim hysteria which Six and his ilk are whipping up in this country can have serious consequences for the well-being of Muslims living in this country. A couple of my neighbors have expressed fear that Muslims might move into the neighborhood and murder us all in our beds, which of course is what they're all plotting.

Basic math … more laws mean more restriction on your conduct. It is quiet simple.

Now you reply like the libtard you and 6-eyed like to ridicule so much.

First you imply if the US would be islamic there would be no arguing with women anymore. Then I nuanced that by countering it. Then you try to trivialize that nuance by stating you saw something far worse. But this does not change that women are argued with all the time in plenty of islamic countries.

It's cute you think there's no arguing with women in islamic countries :D

  5. It's weird you seem to think women are doing just fine in the Islamic world. And I don't recall using a term like "Libtard". I don't care for that sort of banter personally. And I have nothing against real liberals, just real leftists. And I don't have any cute little names for them because I don't want any ambiguity about who I am talking about. But that's me.

As for what I've seen, it is what it is. I'm see slavery and I've seen women treated as slaves for being women.

What's interesting is your 1-sided view of parody. But then, so is mine!

It's weird you come to that conclusion. I merely nuanced your extreme statement. Now you put it like I made an extreme statement.

You don't have to use the word libtard in order to ridicule them. Leftists and libtards are the same. Maybe your banter against leftists goes subconscious then :p because for someone who doesn't care for that sort of banter you spend a lot of posts on it...

Congrats on what you saw. Do you realize we're all on the same page about that women have lesser rights and are often (but far from always) in bad situations because of it?

What we apparently disagree about is that it's an excuse to bash and/or ridicule islam and muslims as a whole. So if a joke is cracked about a controversial topic it better is a good joke. If its an old stale joke that even makes the people at stormfront go hehe at best, or more likely just make people go 'oh yeah, good one because its soo true!' then the critical remarks and nuances are simply to be expected. Now, its clear OP did expect them, in fact its likely the main reason he made this thread.

I've heard various entities being used on the punchline for your provided joke. It was you who made it racist.

Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Libya all have less laws to regulate people. If you have doubts about this, start reading your state statutes then try to get through the entire Code Of Federal Regulations. America has so many rules, Lawyers started to specialize in certain areas of practice because the could not devote reading time to the other parts.

In Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and UAE the prostitutes are usually imported from the UK and AUSTRALIA. You are talking about Muslims who have lots of money. Even Trump and Kushner hit them up for loans.

Wow … I truly impressed. It must have taken you all afternoon to compose that sentence.

  17. Do they still toss gay men from rooftops? What about lesbians?

Or were those just isolated incidents?

They don't toss gay men from rooftops. They give them one free flying lesson.

They are free countries after all. Freer than the west apparently

You're an idiot if you think you're making a good argument here. People are more free in Afghanistan because they have less laws? This doesn't even goes up in a relative moderate islamic country like Morocco
