everybody seems to be having fun. They wish me happy Halloween and I think "what is happy about it?" it is evil, demons, witches, freddy krugger and the Michelin man and I just don't know. .I would dress up but I cant find no stupid costume. my legs don't look right and my eyes well they just don't go good with anything and this makes me sad.
i don't know, based on this post you just sound like one of those people who look for excuses to be unhappy. the michelin man is fucking creepy though.
less creepy than the michelin man. although now that i look at michael, they do look kind of similar actually.
We don't really celebrate halloween here, but I endorse anything horror related. Don't like the door knocking thing though.. Luckily for them no one came to my door.
Halloween IS a fucking stupid holiday. People can say I am no fun, but to me dressing up in costume is fucking retarded if you're any older than 13.
Halloween is for people like me who are obsessed with just about anything horror related. Halloween means that you can use your imagination and dress up as anything you can imagine. Halloween means free candy and haunted houses that are fun because you can get scared and know that you are safe because there is no real danger since it is all make believe. Halloween means back to back horror movie marathons. Also, last but not least, Halloween means that there will be very many gorgeous, beautiful women dressing in sexy, imaginative costumes that'll expose some of their skin and curves. Seriously, what's not to love about Halloween? Okay, maybe there are more sicko's out there than what there used to be and they ruin it for some people and that is a shame.
This is the time of the year when the veil between the worlds is the thinnest, and Halloween is considered the culmination of this. So, if you think you see something out of the corner of your eye or hear something...you probably do. boo
You should come visit the Netherlands during Carnaval. It's basically a week of adults being dressed up and drinking themselves into a coma.
Same in DR, but it lasts all of February. I love Halloween, but wasn't really into it this year and didn't dress up. I normally do, it's fun to step out of your ordinary self. I took Sophia trick or treating, she was a T-Rex, more curious about people's pets than the candy. She would not leave their front door until they let them pet their dogs or cats. She gave John and me our favorite candy as soon as she got it, it broke my heart that she knows what our favorites are.
Samhain is the date of note - whereas - Halloween the date of Commercialism (= a bit Harsh I suppose) At least it allows kids/those of Youthful mind-set an opportunity to 'dress up' wiTch is always a thing I embrace (that's another story) Hiding behind a mask is something we all do (to varying degrees) though this allows the exuberant action which we may feel we are bound by convention to express. Stupid costumes? - I make my own Legs? Long skirts cover a lot - though one should do that which we are comfortable with, sometimes being silly (and to 'crazy - out) is a blow out that we all need now and then
