you kinda scare me man .... LOL I do understand were u all are commin from it is ignorant ... i would be like y do u have short hair or ... y is the sky blue ... just to show them how stupid and ignorant there question was ... Idk man ... people ask crazy shit
i remember a friend of mine ask me that once, and the only think i said was that it keeps u warm in the cold winter and it feel much more natural...so i`m saying it again.
LOL me too !! I love long hair and i love having long hair ... i refuse to cut it ... its just natural ... the way its supose to be man .. Just let it do what ever ...idk iam weird i guess
Yea man discrimination against guys with long hair and beards sucks, when i had a beard and longer hair (it was never really that long) it was almost impossible to get a job, when i finally got one the boss told me i had to shave my beard off.
haha, no i mean i kinda understood because it was at a pizza place (working with food), altho i was only a delivery guy and he said the reason was because he was worried customers would think that i wasnt clean or something. But unfortunately i really needed the job so i did what i had to.
I guess I just can't be bothererd to cut it. That, and long hair is fun! And it looks interesting, what's not to like?
Also it's harder to hide a joint behing your ear with short hair. ...not that I often find the need to hide things behind my ears...
Maybe it's because letting one's hair grow out is natural? Cutting to conform to society's shitty standards is not, by any means, natural.
My 14 year old has long hair. When asked the same question he tells everyone that he has it long because he likes it that way, and he will cut it when he gets good and ready.
Your 14 year old sounds like a well-grounded person. Good job up an individual who isn't swayed by the fad du jour. You should be proud!
I have to admit, I believe the dictionary definition was probably the best. Long hair in our more modern and industrial nations often rises from rebellion, a need to make a separate fashion statement, or a symbol of belonging to a separate sub-group. The ability to grow hair is viewed as a sign of potency. The one with the most testosterone wins. For me, it is a sign of good health, youth and happiness.
please take away that picture of johnny Damon (im a huge red sox fan I cant stand to look at him, traitor)
1.it feels and looks good 2.it's a sign of rebellion against pointless mainstream social norms 3.john lennon said something about "bed peace" and "hair peace",so i guess it's sort of a peace manifest 4.it's a "sign" for being part of a subculture 5.it's natural yeah,i've got ridiculed by teachers in school, suspected of being part of a sect, insulted and beaten into eating liquids for my long hair (well, the beaten part for responding to insults). any funny stories regarding long hair? i guess many of us got the whistle and "hey sweetie" from blokes seeing our backs.the dissapointment and confusion on their faces worths millions when you turn around and give them the "yeah,i'm not a girl" look...or when you turn around and wink a friend of mine found a piece of a small chain in some other friend's hair. we were camping in the wild;i was drunk and went to take a crap in the bushes.on the way back i fell asleep.when i returned, some guy found some MJ leafs in my hair.it appears i've fallen asleep in a MJ plantation.
Long hair is natural. People who get hair cuts are the ones who should be questioned. "Why are you defying nature?"
I dont know about the whole refusing conformity thing. Because Girls are expected to have long hair, and thats all you really see girls with. My hair is about and inch past my ears now. Girls with short hair = Anti-conformity.
umm... i'm going to go ahead and say that hair is a personal choice. my hair is about chin length. After my dreads my hair was less than 3 inches long for around a year. to a point, its just hair.
