Why Do A Lot Of Girls Like Hip-Hop?

What is it about hip-hop that a lot of girls like? Is it just the dancing? Do they think they are gangsters? Do they want to be associated with gangsters? I don't get it.

It makes me lose hope. How can billions of years of evolution have led up to.... "I think hip-hop is cool!" Not to sound like a narcissist, but come on.

Can someone shed some light on this?

And for that matter... what about celebrity magazines? None of this is important. I hear otherwise intelligent women talk about this stupid stuff a lot.

 

There is good and bad hip-hop out there. It's not all gangster. I hate it when people jump to conclusions about a particular genre of music, when they likely haven't heard anything other than the garbage that gets played on the radio. I will agree that music is horrible, but to act like that represents the entire hip-hop genre is pretty ignorant. If we're talking some shit like Rick Ross or 2 Chainz, then I agree that music blows. It's just a shame that people shun an entire genre based on a few crappy artists who get all the attention.

 

So what are the good artists about the genre? I was pretty familiar with it as of 10 years ago, but I don't listen to much music at all. I'm not really a music person in general. But why do so many girls like it?

 

Why does anyone like it? It has a good beat and you can jam to it.
