My last active forum(dtv) closed down, the site went Social media/the commercial way .*sigh*

My mate thinks our neighbors are all conspiring against us in a malevolent secret cabal. They're surveiling us; bugging our house and tapping our phones. They're beaming ultrasonic weapons at us, incrementally moving the fences and phone poles. They're poisoning our trees, creeping through our woods at night, communicating with one another via the street lights.
Sometimes I desperately need someone else to talk to.

I apologize, my bad. My mother has dementia resulting from a couple strokes, so I of all people shouldn't be missing the point.

 

my original wrat account is from 2005 and I have no earthly idea what I searched to find this place then I was inactive for several years before coming back so who knows

 

Our Mom died from Alzheimer's December 5, 2008. A few years before that I became a member of the Alzheimer's Association message forum. It was very helpful in so many ways. After Mom died I remained a member to pay it forward for newer caretakers and patients who were members dealing with this cruel disease. After a few years of this I asked my brother Tyrsonswood if he knew of another forum that I might want to join. He told me about this place. I have been here ever since. I still visit the Alzheimer's board but not as often as I did.

 

I joined in 2004 as Jasper since I love the Jasper Stone I chose that name. Nice place to interact with good conversation with others with lots of different cultures and ideas.

 

My mom was posting on the forums for a moment when I talked her into joining years later ..when she had a computer my mom is no longer on the internet which she could barely operate since she is techno challenged.

Sounds like a guy I used to know, are they a past meth user? That's why he's like that.

 

No; no drugs or alcohol. Don't know the genesis of the delusional disorder; perhaps an abusive childhood and/or first marriage, but what before was an irritant exploded into an all-consuming psychosis (and assorted other sequelae) after a head injury in a car wreck nearly three years ago.

 

I just joined and I am impressed with the breath of the topics diacussed. The forum is awesome!

 

I joined decades ago, looking for fellow hippies. I used to have a forum here called The Kitchen Table. I kept a cookie list and sent dozens of homemade cookies out to members.
Then my cabin burned down and my computer inside!
Years later, I got a cell phone and one day, I remembered Hippyland, now Hip Forums. Looked it up, and now I'm back!

I had enough of forums a few years ago, members allowed to insult each other even make nasty threads about other members. Forums are supposed to be fun and interesting, I was looking for a different site to buy seeds and ended up here, very pleased with how most members seem to be cool, I haven’t come across anyone I don’t like so far. The forum is easy to use and everything works. Really enjoying this so far.
