It's not uncommon to see Nazism, and white power trolling spread all across the dark web and online gaming. So much so that I have a hard time taking anyone who spreads that stuff seriously in that I cannot believe that many of the people spreading this stuff are actual Nazi sympathizers (although there are probably some who are for real). There's lots of ways a person can stir things up online, but white power trolling is the most brainless kind. It doesn't take a lot of mental effort and creativity to get a rise out of someone by posting something like the N-word over and over again. I actually used to know an Asian guy who liked to troll others by pretending to be a KKK member. I told him it was dumb and unoriginal, and he needed to grow up.

On consoles this kind of profiling yourself (for trolling purposes or not) is not allowed. I had to name my horse in RDR2 online and tried Gringo first (a fairly common term in westerns). I got a message it wasn't allowed as it could be considered offensive. He's called Hank now... My point is trying to get a variation of the n word or something in one's nickname or a swastika in one's avatar is a conscious effort there, and they are often forced to change it. Hardly worth the effort for someone who actually just want to have fun playing an online game

Not sure this is actually OP's logic. In fact, i have the feeling it was deliberately distorted here.
Maybe he could clarify himself? @unfocusedanakin

Nazis and their ideology were not 'evil'?

That in other armies and countries there were also soldiers and/or citizens with a similar mindset and ideas as the nazis makes referring to the german army during nazi Germany as nazis misleading? Even if other soldiers in the german army than the Wehrmacht and SS didn't share the nazi ideals they were still part of that army. The agressors. They were fighting for the nazi cause wether they liked or agreed with it or not. Even if they didn't know shit about the cause or the ethnic cleansing the nazis were busy with, they were still helping fulfilling that cause. That a significant amount of german soldiers were forced to be part of this doesn't make it misleading to refer to that army as the nazis or the nazi army. Why not? Because the whole army was working for that regime.

They weren't subject to the nazis? Not forced to take orders from the nazi regime? They were fighting for the nazi cause wether they liked, knew or wanted it.

I agree, the aryan superiority bogus they used for their abhorrent plan is fantasy. But they were really busy with it in a way that had terrible consequences. Many were duped or all to happy to adapt this superiority bogus propagated by the nazis. That people from other countries and ethnicities, including Arabs were also part of that division doesn't change that or makes the nazi army and cause less evil either, nor renders it their aryan superiority complex less real.
I agree with this part. But it seems the game developers of the named games in above quote themselves are more often dedicated to those authentic details than not. It's other people that talk about these games with political agendas and I wonder how many, and how serious of a problem this actually is in reality. Could be just a couple of people who charge such statements and know how to get attention and we're all talking about it.

Nobody was arguing otherwise about the online games.
About the real life soldiers back in the day: they were part of the army under the nazi regime. They were fighting for the nazi cause. It was not only about conquering the next strategic point. The bigger picture matters

The NFL is a private company and subject to employment policy. Like many jobs in America do not allow visible tattoos. There is nothing in American law making tattoos illegal. So if you want to have them you need to fine a job that allows it.

This logic is used for the NFL. Their employer says at the job they do not want protest. The player is free to protest on their own time. Many against the kneeling say it's wrong to bring politics onto the job.

They want to be entertained not lectured. It's a common thought among right wing Americans. They are very angry so many athletes speak up. It is not their place and they do not understand anything but how to play their sport. But if you protest in private who knows? The idea of protest is to challenge. I think they just do not think there is any problem. It's the same thoughts as the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's. There is no reason for black people to be upset since racism is over.

I don't see how Irm thinks my thread applies to the NFL. I have probably mentioned my support of kneeling before on these forums. It's an important issue for me because it is free speech and non-violent. I don't agree with the NFL policy but I admit they are like any American job which censors your free speech if you want to work there.
