Why charity is bullshit

It depends on what charity, you can't simple put all the names into one category and say its all bullshit. When it comes to corporate charity with those Ads that are all over the TV, id call bullshit, in fact they should all go fuck themselves. Though lots of small charaties are really good.

Growing up my mother always gave canned foods to a charity shleter for the homeless, during the winter months. As a kid if we waited long enough we would see who ate the food. Its those small little charities where the food you give goes strait to the shelf behind the register counter so that 30 minutes later when a lady with her son wak in to ask for some food they can eat what we just brought in. That is real charity.

What you see on the TV is using peoples personal struggles for their own financial gain.

 

i just love it when the firemen who make 80+ grand a year plus benefits and dental and vacations and paid sick days etc...stand at the mall entrance with their boot out asking for donations...GTFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!




the only thing i donate to is the poppy people around rememberance day and to the kids at the store who are asking for money for hockey/dancing/etc clubs

 

Here the fire department do it for certain charities. They also do it locally if there is a fund raiser being held usually to help someone with treatments or things not covered by the government.

They do not keep the money in house.

but they take the credit for it...and i doubt any of them donated any of their money...plus I bet theyre all on public payroll time when theyre collecting

 

Not sure about that. I would imagine like everyone else, some would donate and other not. They have to stay at the station even if there are no calls, so they are paid no matter what.

Here, other than the fire Marshal, they are all volunteers.
