Guys, I'm sorry, but I just can't agree with the "beautiful invariably means arrogant and uncultured" idea. I've actually found that a lot of times the least attractive girls are unhappy and bitter people because of their plight in life. Which makes them unpleasant to be around to say the least. The idea that someone is smarter and more down-to-earth out of necessity is flawed and completely absurd. I admit that Nicole is not the greatest at articulating herself on the board, but I talk to her on Yahoo, and honestly, she's as intelligent as most of the minds I've seen attempt to solidify an idea around this place.

I also don't see a problem with one believing in one's own self and acknowledging the obvious. If the girl is beautiful, she is obviously going to realize this. I think the last poster has a chip on his shoulder, and I assume it's not because he's been accepted a thousand times, let's just put it that way.

Do you know how many girls have cheated? Do you know how many girls have riffled through their man's belongings? A lot of them, and it's not only the good looking girls. This is generally not their common behavior but merely past indiscretions.

DarkLunacy, I've talked to you on this board and you're a cool guy, and I don't want to be crass with you, but I assume you've never attempted to initiate any type of conversation with a beautiful girl or carry on a relationship with one if you can remark this way and in so remarking on the common demeanor of beautiful girls you have stepped into grounds on which you have no experience and I am sorry, but that's just arrogant in itself.

I have dated beautiful girls before, and if you look at my picture you can see that I also prove the point that they're not simply looking for the best looking guy they can find. You know what I found in these relationships? I found that these girls on a general basis were as cultured as any other girl, good looking or not so good looking. One of these girls could quote me lines from Oedipus Rex and Macbeth without hesitation or immediate reference to the original peices. This girl was a classically trained cellist and could harmonize at concert speed with any Chopin etude or anything in the Bach-Werke-Versicherungswirtschaft without missing the slightest note. Now, does this sound, to you, like something easily achieved by the uncultured?

Now,I'm not saying here that the bad looking girls are especially uncultured or rude by any means, I'm simply saying that to judge one by one's looks alone is to fail miserably at all that it is we consider human networking. Don't let this be your disposition or you may be missing out on some incredible people.

    Much love,
    Jonathan.

You are very pretty, but seem very arrogant. Perhaps you are the one fixating on your looks as opposed to the guys you hit on. Find an idenity outside your looks, that is private to you and not on display for every guy you meet. Be happy being by yourself and not having a boyfriend and your confidence and self-sufficeincy will radiate the room rather than a superficial cockiness.

i have been talking to takemenow a lot lately, and i have seen more to this than meets the eye. She is a good person that is very down to Earth. She's just tired of guys that want nothing more than sex. Don't read into anything more than reding what was written.

how does she seem arrogant or cocky? i really doubt that youve ever talked to her outside of this post, if you would youd see that there is much more to her than meets the eye. shes actually a really nice lady, and i know lots of goodlooking ladies who arent arrogant bitches, that comment was uncalled for, whoever said that.

I am purely going by this thread as you are right I do not know her. But as a former superficialist I must say you meet men of much better quality when you dress conservative and articulate your smarts rather than making your appearace a focal point. Focusing on your looks as much as she is seems very unhealthy in my opinion.

Why give up when you've never started? I'm sorry, but come up with a point. Articulation can't really be measured by a message board thread. Not to be an asshole, but I really get frustrated when someone trys argue something without any ammunition and when people fail to understand, which they will invariably, that person gets frustrated and acts like there should be some reason. It doesn't make any sense to me at all to even start talking (or typing in this instance) if you aren't out to make any real statement besides "I don't think you dress conservatively enough and you seem stupid on the internet".

My point-you write a thread about how attractive you are-that is superficial in it's self. I have no need to point out anything further, that is enough to qualify as superficial in my book. Sorry I live in San Diego which is filled with girls who look like you, they are a dime a dozen, so forgive me if I am not impressed.

You've maken the mistake of assuming that the traditional male / female dating rituals are the only way that people behave and you've pidgeon-holed yourself into lonlinesses corner?

This seems to me, that it was just your excuse to say... "Hey look at me, I'm pretty!"

    Am I right?

Would you admit it if I was?

exactly- I think she was digging for complements. I am not trying to be mean as you are very pretty. I just think you should derive attention in other ways. Use your looks as an accesory to your smarts personality ect. and you really shouldn't have a hard time finding a quality date. Or maybe try men in their late twenties or early thirties, imo they make much better boyfirends.

If pretty girls were the same personality-wise as ugly girls, how in the Hell would us ugly chicks get anything?

Damn bitches stealing my thoughts... ;)

Well, people only want sex from you? I think that may happen to everybody and it depends on the guy not how attractive the girl is. In my dealing, people only want sex with us ugly girls, because they know we are pretty easy, whereas the pretty ones get drooled over, they can be choosy.

Don't know what else to tell ya, sweetie. I guess I can't sympathize, the jealousy of the ugly girl is deep in me.

    Much luck.

"...how the hell would us ugly girls get anything?" You'd get something the same way the cultured pretty girl would get it, it just more than likely wouldn't come in as nice a looking package, and it would more than likely take longer to find.

im not trying to offend you, just inform you: the fact that you refer to your self as "an attractive girl", a separate category from "regular" girls is indicative of well, a not so humble personality. men can pick up on that, and a superiority complex can make even a gorgeous face unappealing. good luck in your man hunt :)

Bingo. There is a very good reason I put hot in quotes. This is to indicate that (using quotes properlly) I am simply quoteing what the media and such would have us believe is hot or atractive. Super tight tees and jeans and a pound of paint on the face with a bitch/I'm the shit attitude on the side. I find these girls to be extremly cliche time and time again (yet somehow I always go out with them. I think I have a problem with girls looking for 'bad boys' lol.) I think anyone who believes its all right to cheat does have something amiss going on in their heads and is one of those "hot" chicks I was talking about.
