It's not my fault that I was born into a society which has certain ways of life that it presents as true while denying others. I like to point out where I feel people are wrong in their assumptions. To me, Atheism mirrors Theism.

Buddhists are Atheistic and they are doing violent things right now.

 

This makes zero sense. A true and real atheist pamphlet would say "Not enough evidence", "God doesn't exist", "Show me the proof", etc.

Oh, but haven't you heard? According to the Atheists on this forum who probably have not very much experience with what Buddhism is really like in the East, Buddhism and Atheism both aren't Religions!

 

I don't see why not, other than the fact that atheism simply isn't one. If it was really a religion it would depend on the details in what atheism exactly made a religion and where buddhism differs in that (a hypothetical issue).

Personally it seems clear to me that buddhism fits the definition better than atheism.
