couple of reasons, mainly joined just to relate to people.

As it happens, no.

If memory serves, I was made redundant and was looking up some jobs on the internet.
I'd book some time at the library and spend 20 minutes shooting off CV and the other 1:40 minutes surfing the net.
I happened to stumble upon the BBC America forum,...and a few of the people there were also members here (they have cleared off now).
That was...mmmm 2004.

also i think i must be myself when i'm here, because if i wasn't, what would i be?
i think some people mesh the image of who they want to be/feel they ought to be with the image of who they are, if these images exist.

i dunno. i'd say i'm somewhat myself when i'm online, but i guess i don't think that anyone is really completely themselves online. i joined mainly 'cause i was considered a hippie in high school and well...yeah, figured i might fit in here. shoulda joined a criminal forum instead. lol
