Why are we attracted to other people even when we've found our 'soul' mates?

This probably sounds like a stupid question but I'm in such a mental/emotional conflict.

I'm married. Been with my wife for about 18 years, 5 married. I love her dearly and I know she loves me.

However, I sometimes get attracted to other women, some very strongly so much that I wish I could nail them passionately for days.

This worries me because I'm obviously committed and should not be longing to fuck other women. Also, I worry if my wife were to ever find out about me feeling this way, she would think I no longer love her which is not the case.

She is a beautiful woman with the most beautiful legs and butt to die for. I never get enough of making love to her.

I'm confused. Don't know what to do with this.

Is this the way we men are wired?

And I have never cheated on her but damn it's hard not to.

I would really also like to get feedback or the women's perspective on this, i.e. whether you ladies also generally encounter this type of dilemma with yourselves or it's just us men being the dogs that we are :)

A souls mate is it's satisfied sense of spirit in the body. You needn't mate to have this, only love. Love a child or a friend, or a plant, and your soul's sense of spirit is recognized.
Of course if you just wanna get laid then some sort of partner is necessary.

for the same reason you were attracted to that 'soul mate' in the first place.

you can't just root out finding people of your taste sexually attractive all of a sudden. there would be no attraction, or 'soul mates' then at all. it's in the human nature. why do you still like other music after you heard that first piece you liked?

The 'soul' finds many with whom it wished to connect with.
Trying to make 1 person be the end all of that desire does not work.
Desiring sexual liaisons with others when we are content in a deep fulfilling relationship, lets us know that our libido is a bit too active and may jeopardize our happiness.
Sometimes meditating and raising sexual energy to a higher level, Walking the Spirit Path, is the best method for maintaining Balance.

Blessings Be with you along your Way (often the lessons we learn from)

Namaste (my spirit bows to your spirit)

Therein lies the challenge. But it's like one is expected to switch off.

Sometimes I feel like it's immoral to feel this way, let alone act on it. Worst, feeling it towards a married woman.

She is a prim and proper woman. I can't think of her imagining such.

When I try to gently get into this type of discussion, which she is not comfortable with, she always say there is no one else for her but me!

But I do wonder sometimes if it's naturally possible for her to never have such a thought of bedding another person she finds attractive.

I suppose societal pressure says once you are married you can't have sexual attraction to other people of the opposite sex let alone enjoy sex with them.

The other issue for my wife is that sex signifies love. She does not believe the two are separable. Therefore, if I have sex with someone else than I no longer love her.

The idea that 'proper' women do not think about sex is ridiculous.

I agree with most of this, however.....making love would be part of the entire package with a soul mate, imo. Sex is just sex, yes....I ain't interested in that for that sake ever....

That is your sense of spirit talking but some people believe in spirits.
If you can't be with the one you love love the one your with. That applies to current circus attractions. Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages under one tent finds wholeness or soul matedness everywhere.

Sex is fun and provides significant sense of bonding but is driven subconsciously by the instinct to protect and extend, procreation. This is why people are asking questions about their motivations seeming uncontrollable.

Well, I am not going to get into this discussion with you really when I do not even know who you really are....

We all have our own opinions, beliefs and feelings about almost anythng...not fair to try to force other things on people all of the time.....

I regard myself as a fairly controlled person, calm and can think things through but I have this one challenge currently. A sort of uncontrollable attraction to a particular married woman. When I see her I can barely control myself.

I guess it's the whole story of the mind telling me no but my body telling me yes!

I fear that she can sense what is happening. Terrible place to be in.
