I could post about 100 of these videos but here is a pretty good example of why a lot of people dislike vegans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJzw7SeVnHI
Thankfully that is the radical minority again at work. Not my experience with Vegans at all. I know people who will not eat rabbit because they think of thumper or venison because of bambi. I know some who will eat their steak while stating they will not eat veal or state they only eat fish, like they do not suffer death. There are radicals in every group as I have also known Vegans who are constantly bothered by others for their choice to not eat or wear animal products.
The majority of the ones i have met are annoying as hell. They just HAVE to let people know they are a vegan and go on and on about it. I've never seen a vegetarian or meat eater barge into a resteraunt and disrupt anything. I was hoping someone would taze that lady.
as far as i know, i only know one vegan. and she never told me or anything, i just happened to overhear someone joking with her about how she doesn't eat real food.
I have never seen a Vegan go into a restaurant and do that either. They were way out of line to enter there and do that. If that is they way they feel then do not patronize non vegan places. Simple for most of us to understand, unless you are a radical. If I did not want a vegan meal I would not go to that type of restaurant. The video is showing radicals and that is what it is meant to do. I am sure that very few vegans would agree with what was done there (based on my limited knowledge).
I know a few vegans. They're ok, but they do seem to treat their dietary preference as a kind of religion. It can get annoying at times. Relatively harmless though, until they inflict it on their children.
We have a couple of vegans lurking in the family. My wife and I see it as a challenge since we love to cook. Since she's from Louisiana Jane, my wife, prefers a range of critters in a dish. Her Jambalaya is to die for. Back when I was a low-carb dieter, she made me all kinds of low-carb deserts. Who knew they were all adding up to gout fuel? These days I'm reducing meat and switching over to more vegetable protein. But I don't see me ever giving up bacon, which I crave when I work in the middle east, or cheeseburgers. Then there's ribs, ribeye and sirloin steaks, chicken, turkey, quail, dove, shrimp, lobster, crab, red snapper, tuna, Mahi, grouper and oysters. I don't care for rabbit much or goat (reminds me too much of dog) and I don't like squirrels or rodents in general, so I'm not much of a survivalist though I could suffer through gator, iguana and snake if need be. But when we cook any vegan dish, we are extra careful we don't cross zones in the kitchen. We don't swap stirring spoons across the different pots etc. On the original issue, I fail to see how anyone thinks they can advance their cause through rudeness and hostility. Sure you can bully the point, but that can't be sustained. Eventually you have to coexist organically. Besides, we will soon enough be cloning our steaks, using a vegetable substrate feedstock and DNA from prize donors, kept in optimum conditions. This means we'll essentially all be vegetarians at the least. Slaughtering animals will be a thing of the past since you can grow only the parts you want. Enjoy the perfect filet mignon every time. And it will of course be quite cheap, but there will still exist a premium market. DNA will become currency, transforming cattle auctions. Remember your D-3 and B-6 while keeping your powder dry and your snow boots in the house (spiders and such). Have a super Saturnalia!
A vegan, an atheist, and someone who does crossfit walk into a bar. How do you tell who is who? They'll brag about it to you
Lmao there was one vegan in the video, a brunette girl holding a sign, who is so fucked up. Whatever drugs she is on, I want some. She was on a magical chanting/mumbling adventure! Really though, I know lots of vegan who are perfectly normal people. It's not their fault that this particular group drank the kool-aid.
When you're happy with something, like a life style change with diet and it works for you I can understand the excitement of trying to tell people what's working and how great you feel about it, but what bothers me the most with vegan folk is just how badly they judge everyone else for their diet of choice. I'm beyond the point of taking any bodies diet with too much seriousness. What works for one person don't work for the next and what works for me probably don't work for you, but I can't say that any specific diet is good or bad, it's just personal choice. I don't look down on vegans for not eating meat, wouldn't mind a little reciprocation on the matter.
There was a time I considered going into veganism for the pussy. Vegan girls are crazy, and crazy girls tend to be more loose.
yeah but they're probably better about delaying gratification too. you know what is worse than an obnoxious vegan? Vegetarians who wear leather
Those people were behaving in an extreme way, as has been said, most vegans are not like that. But I can say that when people go vegan, and identify as such, it becomes more of a worldview/lifestyle than a simple diet. People like the one's in this video turn other's off to veganism, unfortunately. I've found that the best way to inspire others to change is by your own actions. If people see a vegan who lives a happy, healthy, and active lifestyle with a variety of food in their diet, that does much more to further their cause than these very vocal protests.
I know, right? These seem more like the PETA crowd....being a vegan is really just an eating choice, right? I'm fine with people eating whatever they want but really do not like to be preached to about my choices of food either.
