Why are hippies so hated

There are real hippie haters in my neck of the woods.These people tend to be far right-wingers and sometimes fundamentalist religious types.It seems hippies are an easy target since it isn't PC to attack race,religion,creed,etc. anymore,but hippies are fair game.Shows on TV and radio that attack hippies just give these ignorant bastards more fuel for their hatred.I'm not offended by good comedy,but too many idiots take the ideas ,like "hippie hating", seriously.

 

there is going to be hate on every stereotype of character based on the fact that people just don't either understand or don't believe in similar ideas. just the way life and world works. you always going to have someone not like something and so forth.
