Typical of your unfocused thinking. You create a straw man that you can breezily dismiss.

Capitalism by no means means "thinking only of yourself"- that is an absolutely insipid encapsulation of the ethics of capitalism, which is the only known economic system by which large groups of unrelated, unconnected people can voluntarily engage for mutual benefit.

You, sir, are clueless about human action.

That's called our "right to prosper". Not born to rule.

OMG....the real description is born to rule and born to prosper. If this were not true the inheritance tax would be stiff and the inter generational transfer of wealth would be regulated out of existence. Would not have such political figures as W, Trump, and Rand Paul. In a system that wasn’t rigged they would have had to compete on their own merits with a cadre of far more competent people who weren’t born rich.

Billionaires, millionaires, gazillionaires, the person with some dollars in the bank owes nobody except the IRS an explanation about their wealth ... good for them if they wealthy. EOS.

Ok so why if we use the example of America does the party that says they are the only capitalists (Republicans) support NO moral things?

No social welfare, no public education, no healthcare

Everything is to be earned and no one owes you anything. What ethics are you talking about? Why does the Republican party not crate anything moral? The nature of capitalism is to make all you can for yourself.

The Democrats who would support those things are called Communists. Meanwhile in my current country which is capitalist it would be unheard of for even the most nationalist right wing ( or Republican) politician to say these things are wrong. They think this for the same reasons ads Republicans. ONLY our country and people matter and we have a culture under attack. But somehow because socialism is not a dirty word people see how you combine the two systems.

You could have billions of Euros here. Some do but they pay a very high tax and they loose billions to it if they can afford it. Billions in America means you make millions in tax breaks.

I think you are the one with the straw man here.

Not entirely correct if you go back to the formation of the GOP you have Lincoln who freed the slaves , as far as social responsibility here right from the horses mouth..Republican Views on Social Security | Republican Views... there is a current crop of FAR right repugs that are as bad as the FAR left demorats NEITHER represent the party as a whole they just make the moist noise/news

Correct, sir- nobody owes you, as an adult, a living. I know it's hard, but Grow Up.

Nor is it the government's job to provide you with "healthcare". When you say it is, you are obliging other people to provide it for you, whether they wish to or not. There is a word for forcing people to serve you: SLAVERY. My momma didn't raise no slave.

FWIW, this is all separate from what a person might do voluntarily. Ever hear of a Carnegie library? I will guess that over one million people owe their lives to Bill Gates, who has contributed billions in the battle against malaria.
