What you fail to realize is that there is a good side to technology as well as bad. All of the things you claim that it destroys it actually helps in many ways.

Technology can prevent war as well as clean up the environment (and prevent environmental disasters)

You act as if technological advancement is inherintly evil and that's just simply not the case. No matter how overly dramatic you are about it.

 

That's a classic question best responded by asking...
Where do you go to escape it?

Artic??? Hmm nope man made global warming is there;
Africa?? Hmmm nope, wars caused by transnational corporations looking for cheap minerals are all over there

Tell me where there's a safe place to go and live and I'll round up all the animals and go there.

My home is this planet and people like myself, plus all the animals, just want to live in peace and harmony with nature. But instead we have to deal with this insane dichotomy (relgious crusade) that keeps destroying our homes.

We have to deal with this perversion that comes and shits all and destroys everything, leaving behind death. And when one area is destroyed, it moves on to the next and starts shitting and destroying everything again.

Therefore there comes a point in time when you have no place left to go or hide and you have to stand your ground.

So hopefully that answers your I-religion based question.

 

No one is forcing you to use a computer are they so why introduce more of it in your life? If you really wanted to escape it you could - tent, field, live off the land.

Even if you couldn't escape it completely, you could have the bare minimum if you were so against it. Get rid of your TV, computer, all phones, freezer, washing machine, car etc and just have your bed and a chair.

But instead you choose to have some of these things, and a computer too! Then use the computer to bemoan technology....

As for using a computer...
Well you and I have several things in common. Such as I have a brain just like you. But where we differ is I choose to use it for something other than being selfish.

 

What are you talking about? Using your computer for something other than being selfish? What do you use it for then apart from your 107 posts on hip forums in just one week?

Did you miss the part of my post that said even if you can't escape it you could get rid of some things given your hatred of it?

Do you have a car, tv, phone, washer or any other non essential technological device in your home as well as your computer? If so, why?

You can't claim to despise tecnology so much while continuing to use non essential items such as those I have mentioned, including a computer (regardless of it's purpose.)

No one needs a TV, phone, computer, car, freezer, washer, dishwasher etc to survive do they?

The moment you tell me you need a computer because, or phone because or "anything else" because, immediately negates your point, and shows technology has its positive uses and also shows you are jumping on a bandwagon. Actions speak louder than words.

Now, if you didn't make technology out to be the spawn of the devil, while at the same time accepting it has it's positive uses as well as negative, then there wouldn't be any self contradiction to your message.

Trying to shut you up? I am giving you a chance to back up your thoughts. The fact you didn't answer my questions on what items you have within your home and why you have them is very telling, as you obviously do have such items which means your message to us all is worthless and you can't be taken seriously.

I would only listen to your preaching if your lifestyle represented that you truly believed technology was the spawn of the devil, and it doesn't. The fact you are even using a computer shows that what you like to think you believe, is not represented within your heart.

As I said, actions speak louder than any words, and the fact you are using non essential items means you are contributing to the deaths of sea lions or anything else impacted by the eco system that is negatively associated with technology - so stop painting yourself whiter than white and get real.

Of course technology has a negative impact, just as anything does, but its positives far outweigh the negatives. Your message is clear:

"I despise technology so much that I will use my computer to spread the message."

Don't forget to set your alarm, make sure your computer is shut down properly, check your washing machine isn't leaking before turning off your TV when you go asleep. Hope you have a nice shower in the morning too.
