If I had to pick one - the Grateful Dead in a heart beat traveling light speed. The are, have been for 20 years and will always be my favorite band. It is my 'religion' so to speak....

 

No one has even mentioned yet the greatest singer of all, Don McClain.

 

After reading all the replys, I am begining to wonder if I am the only one here who is into thrash. Guess thats what I get for joining a bunch of hippies. Not that it is a bad thing or anything. My wife is a hippie, so its all good!!

thats quite a good selection, I'd have to agree with most, though I have listened to any Van Halen.
I also like Missy Higgins, John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd, george, Powderfinger, Carole King, the Cat Empire, Natalie Cole, Silverchair (Diorama) and many many more

My favorite band of the day is Linkin Park. One of those days when you play the CD to death. Tomorrow, who knows?

 

If I had to pick my fav band of all time it would have to be Kurt Cobain led NIRVANA of the late eighties early nineties. I love everything I've heard from them. Thats pretty much every song because I own all of their Cd's, Their singles box set,a recording of their first show. Their a really legendary and influential band. I love them so much!!!! Kurt is like my god!

If I had to pick my fav new band it would either have to be Jet or Alexisonfire, they fucking kick ass.

If i had to pick my fav older band I would have to pick Metallica or Black Sabbath, they just dont compare to anything theyre that great!
