I would hafta say Grateful Dead(forever Jerry). Keller Williams is the best one man band in the land!
.......as i see it imposible to choose the greatest band cause you´ll have to compare everyone of all you´ve said,k and to compare them they would have to be at some point similar.... but they arent and that´s the best part.... no one will win this fight... and at least i cant choose cause i feel like im betraying the other ones i didn´t choose... and that breaks my heart.....
best Guitar : the Jimi Hendrex Experience/ Neil Young & Crazy Horse Best Drums: Iron Butterfly / Motley Crue Best Vocals: The Doors / Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show Best Written: Pink Floyd / Dylan I Would have to say the best band would either have to be pink floyd the earlier the better or the Grateful Dead
I've got not a best band the Beatles(end65-69)and the stones(66-73) were naturally at the top but Jefferson Airplane with Surrealistic Pillow(67) and Volunteers(69) are a real gang too... but maybe the best are The Byrds with their psychedelic trilogy "Fifth Dimension"(66), "Younger than Yesterday"(67) and the best of their progression is "The Notorious Byrd brothers"(68)......then gram parson came and put their fantastic psychedelic sound in the garbage of history...i like parson but i like trippy and adventurous music way before and with him the trippy aspect is gone forever........The buffalo springfield again(67) LP is great too... etc...there's too much great records...and music as i always said is not a competition... For me every good band place some big stone to built the rock'n roll road...
Yes... AND BLIND MELON!!!!! And The Police....Sting... Nirvana, Deftones... Damn...I don't have just one... Sorry! Fer (I'm sooo excited, I'm going to see Sting on May 13, @ Jones Beach...NY!)
Phish is nowhere near the top... Jerry would spit in your face for saying that, if he was still alive.
