I notice and like that you give your choice when you ask the question. It is refreshing, so many do not.
The Allman Brothers were some wickedly tight musicians for sure.

    1. I find it hard to not say the Beatles, who are clearly unique.
    2. Then again so is Led Zeppelin.
    3. The Rolling Stones deserve mention too.
I would say these are the top 3 in that order.
There are many more awesome bands though, the Eagles is one, The Band,
Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ top is a fave of mine.

Jay and Silent Bob in the hizzzouse!

I recognize the genius that is Queen. They're in my top 5. Freddie Mercury's classical operatic technique mixed with Brain May's incredible phrasing and unique Vox/Burns tone is one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever known as a human.

Phish is the greatest band of all time. And Trey is the greatest guitarist (besides what you think of him personally)

Yes I have...they are amazing, but.... their songs lack true soul and depth. Their songs are good mellow listening music and do have meaning, but nothing as profound as well, phish

wtf you people... most of you don't know shit about music... Phish... hahaha... shut the fuck up.

Nobody released as many essential albums as The Beatles. They never recorded a bad song. Nobody covered as much ground as they did in the 7 years they were together.

Without question - The Grateful Dead

They are the most recorded band in history for a reason!
