Its impossible to say. They're both from Boston, and fight dirty when pushed.

 

Who are these people and why are they fighting?

 

Mark Walberg (aka Marky Mark) and Matt Damon are two pretty boys from Boston, who like to act tough in front of the cameras. Its a living.

 

any idea as to why i should have the slightest interest in who either of them are?

personally get very tired of 2/3ds of what's on tellivision being 'dramatic entertainment' of idiots with guns, cars or some other equally mundane artifacts, beating each other over the head,
(and the remaining 3rd being repetitive "news" headlines)

Matt Damon is one of the more famous Hollywood stars who supports the democratic party. His mother was a school teacher, and he trashes republicans out every time they open their mouths. These days, politicians are all millionaires and billionaires, and the only other people with access to the mass media like they have, work in the mass media. Oprah grew up poor and is among the most politically influential people in the country, and became a billionaire or whatever, because she worked the mass media for all its worth.

Marky Mark, is just another idiot they put in front of the camera.

 

Matt Damon probably aged better. I think he's a bit taller too.

i could picture Mark Whalberg getting angrier though.

You shouldn't... apart from the fact that their both household names. It's the 'random thought' section... that's all!

guess its too long since i've lived in a "household".
kindof glad not to have though.

i'm really not interested in personalities/characters on the idiot box.
i'm much more interested in landscapes, architecture, infrastructure, that sort of thing.
i don't mean to be critical of others for their interest in mundaneness, you're welcome to it,
but "household names", sorry there are just more interesting things in the universe, even locally, then to waste what there is of life on the repetitively mundane.
well "win" what? what would make either of anybody better at anything to "win" some contesting of what against or between each other.

why can't everybody just have what they enjoy seperately without trying to put it all in the same place preventing the best and least mundane of it.
that's why this sort of thing, comparisons lead to vanity.

different and alike make a beautiful garden, but
better and worse are egg sucking words that leave only the shell.

its this whole "fight" thing that bothers me. just not my idea how to enjoy life.

that's why the whole role playing game idea when it first came out, i thought that would be a great idea, to simulate other kinds of worlds, play test alternative cultures and so on,
but then when it turned out almost the only thing anyone ever wanted to do with it, and what motivated the creation of the concept, was to play war, well to me that was and is a total crock.

i'd rather be building strange mazelike houses and odd little trains, and living in a world where i could walk down a pine scented trail with lots of nice places to sit,
and no one thought they'd be doing the world a favor to tear everything up. and cats. do people really love birds and mice that much that they have to hate cats?

cats and trains are much more fun to watch then wars. even if thats just me. if that makes me what people don't want to be around, that's ok.
i'm just as happy without those who feel that way.

the only shinobi's i know that interest me are not human, don't look anything like human and don't want nor try to be, nor belligerant either.
never much cared for the porky and bugsy war either nor the loony toons interpretation of coyote and roadrunner.
