    I was talking to my mom today and she said I am part cherokee! It's like 1/8 or something around there. I am also Irish and related to Bruce the first, so I am scottish too and I am English also.

    Bruce
    , Scottish family, originally named de Bruce, descended from Robert de Bruce I (died about 1094). De Bruce was a Norman knight from Bruis, a castle near Cherbourg, France, who in 1066 went to England with William the Conqueror.

    On my dad's mother's (paternal grandmother) side of the family they traced our ancestors to George Washington on his mother's side.

    Mom's side:

    Her Dad (100% Italian)
    Her Mom (100% Irish)

    Dad's Side

    His Dad (100% Scottish)
    His Mom (100% Irish)

    So this would make me 50% Irish, 25% Scottish, and 25% Italian.

    Mom = French-Canadian
    Dad = Irish

    i am told that i have Iroquois ancestry to the tune of 1/32.
    but i am very Irish in both appearance and surname.
    here is my family crest:

    i really dig my ancestry.
    my last name graces a lake and the ruins of a castle in Ireland.
    someday i will visit them. :)

    1/2 German and 1/4th Cherokee. The rest is a mystery, unless I want to delve into my Mom's side of the family, which I do not.

    Mother's side:
    Her mother (50% Swedish, 50% British)
    Her father (100% Swedish)
    Father's side:
    His mother (50% Russian)
    I have no idea about his father..

    My aunt (mother's sister) has done some research about the family and our ancestors and has traced them back to the Vikings. So ImaPeach, we're practically relatives! ;) LOL

    my mother's side were polish jews who came over before wwii and lived on the lower east side in new york back between the 1900s and well into the 1950s, my natural grandfather on my mother's side was named konigsberg (i'm uncertain as to which actual spelling)

    my father's father's people where the hessian mercinaries brought over to what was at that time not yet the u.s.
