No man, don't go? It was a great debate...

...or are you just covering up a lack of answers? Lol
Either way, I guess it does more for some people than it does for others. I'm not even sure why I do argue against it when some people have saved themselves from self-destruction with it. If it's helped you in any way shape or form, then good for you, don't bother listening to me

Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
As to that last suggestion... No... they get really agitated, upset or angry whenever I bring it up, and it's been over a year. I think when I have an excuse it'll be easier, and I'll look older and hopefully more responsible too... it is tough to see them upset, even if it is over such a trivial, small thing, and especially if I had to be the idiot to do it.

Years you have and attitudes change but if they are that stuck in that gear then go for peace and ignore that issue. :2thumbsup:

Uhh no, I just see no point in "debating" points of Christianity and the Bible with a kid who is whining because mommy and daddy drag him to church.:bigcry:

The fact that you COMPLETELY don't comprehend what I said, also leads me to see this as an exercise in futility.

Maybe when you are a big boy and have your own car and maybe a few decades of study on the topic under your belt, then we can "debate".

Until then, ask mommy and daddy to take you to the library so you can maybe crack open a book and learn something.

oh, but I am curios about one, how many children have you given birth to?
How many animal births have you been involved with?
So how do you know it's always painful for every animal, or the degree of pain.

Now if you want to go ahead and ascribe to Greatests philosophy, be my guest. But it is rather obvious that the only thing that attracted you was the anti-Christian tone of his communications, not that you actually possess any knowledge of the subject matter.

Do you often make such choices based on your complete and total lack of information and utter lack of comprehension concerning the topic??

If you do I have some prime real estate for sale. :D

but the main reason I'm bowing out is I'm dead tired of dealing with ignorant morons here, and they keep coming, more every day.

The poster, even at that young age, makes a lot more sense than you.

He has not thrown away logic and reason to believe in woo.

neither have I, but as has been pointed out NUMEROUS times, you only consider a persons logic "worthy" if it aligns with yours. Sorry, never gonna happen,
Your take on things is frankly fucked in the head, plain and simple.
You never present anything of substance, your logic is so convoluted as to render it pointless, all your posts are sensationalistic and designed to incite people, nothing more, yet sadly this young kid won't recognize that.

Honestly your logic is completely fucked, you are not presenting anything but your own misplaced anger and disappointment, and why the hell you haven't been banned yet is beyond me.
As I've said, I've seen other booted for much less.

Because you are wrong. Not to mention your lack of intelligence.

Intelligence refutes. It does not just bitch.

No, intelligence recognizes futility in an endeavor and wisely chooses to expend resources in more fruitful and fulfilling ventures.

Concerning my intelligence, I should listen to an m____n such as yourself.....

There is no irony with a different descriptive narrative and a different definition of terms.

What is your will? What makes it free?

    Knowledge is, being shared.

The knowledge of good and evil is a special type of determination, moral judgement or moralizing and has nothing to do with intelligence. Eating an apple is tasting. Having taken on this specie and being created in the likeness and image of god and speaking into existence the boundaries or our experience we are bound by our judgments and feel justified in our words. It is not what god does to us that creates the appearance of separation but what we do to each other and nature through the auspices of good judgement.

They ate and saw that they were naked and hid from god in shame.
God was unaware of mans dilemma until they professed guilt.
God ask who told you you were naked. He didn't. We feel separate from our good because we claim the existence of evil creating a world of light and dark and so the world appears to us as we insist it must be.

We had not usurped god's will but have taken to substitute our judgement for his. In order to be a good judge however you would have to be privy to every circumstance everywhere and how they all related to each other as everything is bound to everything else. Intelligent judgement is the realization that you have no such capacity. The knowledge of good and evil presents an authority problem only that cannot be resolved. Sin, missing the sign or judgement of god and in so doing we perish by falling into holes we cannot see, being led inexplicably into war when peace is what we long for.

Why do you call me good, (or evil,) only god is good and god is good only.
The undoing of our own verdicts is an appeal to gods judgement which is as it has always been, god created man and saw that it was good, very good. This is why we are forgiven as we forgive. When we give up the idea that we can morally arrange ourselves by virtue of taste, then we begin to attain the knowledge of god or begin to learn a new way of apprehending the world and thus act accordingly and so it is the truth that sets us free from a life of hardness of heart.

The hour of his coming is not known for love does not await time. Love awaits only invitation and the last judgment that awakens the dead in you is your final one.

As you do unto the least of these my brethren, you do also to me and to yourself.

The truth doesn't make you tired but you can weary yourself surely by claiming your beasts of burden.

I respect what you are saying of yourself as accurate as you have your own judge. I would give you the benefit of our inheritance regardless.

There is more on this marriage of god inspiration and animal awareness, a union of the co-creative with the procreative. All animals are procreative and sense the world by virtue of taste. Man is a two part being homo sapiens. That is tasting man and, knowing man.
Many speak of a forgetting that occurs when human spirit bodily enters the world.

A deep sleep was caused to fall upon adam and nowhere does it say he woke up. We have no personal recognition of our origin as creature and all we know is handed down through his-story. The human nervous system thus appears to each of us without our ancient familiarity with it.

We must learn to make sense of our senses and if the eye be sound the whole body will be full of light. In gods discussion with cain he suggests if you do good will you not be rewarded?, it's desire is for you, (taste, the sensational world serves you,) but you must learn to master it.

    Hmmm, good point.:2thumbsup:

As I age and gain experience and the perspective of recollection, I am more and more deeply impressed by the correlation between the functions of different brain systems, the evolution of them, and how that has manifested into the myriad paradigms humans have constructed.
At the very core of them all are simple process of survival of self and species and procreation of the same.
All laws, myths, religions, social structures, civilization, governments, wars, envy, "sin" and moral sensibilities derive from the almost constant struggle between these very basic yet ultimately powerfully compelling instincts and our greater cognitive functions provided by a more advanced and robust nervous system/brain.

The struggle exists because with the development of higher brain structures and resulting functions, humans gained a sense of self, and with it an awareness of "the other". Being self aware gave us the capacity to recognize ourselves in "the other" and as such empathize with them.

So we were thrust into this predicament of survival at all costs vs "doing unto others" that self awareness and empathy introduced.
And thus the whole ball started rolling.

It is that struggle that all disciplines/religions seek to gain intimate knowledge of and master it's whirlwind of compelling instincts.

Entwined amongst this maelstrom is the seductively rich world of our senses.
Our higher brains crave "experience" and memory, while our lower brains insist on food, sex and survival at all costs.

It is in recognizing and negotiating this ballet between lower and higher brains functions that is what true enlightenment and knowledge of self is what is the ultimate goal of such endeavors.

He's losing his patience. He does not gets what he want. What he was hoping for was either us playing along in depth or insult him like he does others. Better to remain subtile when ridiculing his motives and he will pop his head in frustration :2thumbsup:

I agree that there seems to be a schism between the procreative and the co-creative but that is not really the case. On earth we exist for and with each other, the dance as you say of procreation, in heaven we co-create with god.

The animal does not survive at all costs but rather seeks its ease or easiest route. A trout conserves it's energy in the rivers current by letting food come close and doesn't move from it's comfort zone unless the reward for effort equation seems right. They don't go out of their way for a small meal but will for a high caloric score.

The schism is between what we had been taught, guilt, and what we have learned in understanding processes.
