Who pays?

since you both have the same income I think she should offer to pay half of the time


but I suck at this so dont listen to me

 

I open doors, and I pay. I've always considered it my job to do. And I don't accept offers of help paying while on dates, or going out with anyone. I don't feel comfortable when a woman pays, for some reason. I guess I was just brought up that way.

But buying expensive things, or going on trips can be different though.

 

* Is she putting out? Thats the guy'ish pigs first concern? if so then whats your problem?

* you ask you pay, I totally agree, if I were asked out...and really enjoyed the company I would attempt to pay while mentioning how I enjoyed the company. Suggest dessert, ice cream or some activity...min golf etc..etc that she could pay for.

SAY: Moneys tight this week... can we together attempt to cook in and then maybe just watch some tv. I really like your company... Or: I'm in the mood for Mc D's do you mind... Truth be told I have never seen anyone not be ok with that one. Assuming your a few dates in... Pizza hut is good to... the food and or value isn't whats important...

And for the record, this was determined before you born... Men always pay out more in relationships...most likely because we usaully earn more...but thats because we're douchbags and make sure of that... Current earning reports still have men ahead of women sadly.

HOWEVER! look at the brightside, you only will pay before marriage...after marriage she'll pay for everything...it's all her money at that point anyway... If any women doesn't beleive that, she hasn't learned her powers yet. and I suggest she try them out...

I think the man has to pay... If I go on a date and he does not pay - Im not seeing him ever again. It is respect that you paid for your dates with her. I always need my man to pay for the dates... the first 2 I make sure he pays.. but on the third by then I will, or I will 100% offer to without a doubt since I am grateful he paid for our first 2 dates.. I will give the respect back after I know he respects me and not just as a casual or something. I want a role in the relationship to show them I have respect for you and I will be here to support for u if needed.

As for this girl... How long have you been seeing her? Were they cheap dates... I mean if you took her out to a fast food joint.. I get her point... If I mean if it was an average priced meal nothing like junk.. then she should realize to you offered your time, respect and money for her. You were a gentleman and she needs to understand not all men are like that (sadly).

So what I would do say mention "Oh it has been stressful at work.. so my money sitution has been harsh... how about we have dinner at my place or yours.. ?" If she says yours.. or does not offer to take you out.. I wouldnt get too serious with her.. If she does end up at your place.. make her cook something.. I mean erhnn you cook together.. See if she puts any effort.. if she doesnt leave her.. shes a money grabber. If she invites you over or offers to take you out then great.. she has pontenal.. if its her place, then help her as well. Now im just saying this as an example.. there could be other options such as "How about we go for a walk in the park?" Just off free based activies watch her body lanauge it will show how cheap she is... meaning how much she is offering to give into the relationship.

 

I think what Kista said in the first paragraph would be my take on it. I'd want her to at least offer to pay half, get the tip, or pay 100% by the 3rd or 4th time out.

There are extenuating circumstances though. Different women compensate in different ways. Like if she did something else for you that was very giving(non sexual) then i don't know that I'd pay that much attention to it.

My girlfriend was trying to pay right from the get go though. I still never let her pay - but I always really respected that.

 

On my dough, I'll be the judge of that.

 

I think a guy should pay for the first date then it should be even. She should at least offer to take you out

To keep things simple I always insist that the girl pays her way and Ill pay mine. None have ever had a problem with it, some of them seem they rather it be like that.

Plus, by the end of the night its not what you spend but what you say

I live with my boyfriend and we work for the same company, on the same wages.
I pay sometimes, he pays others. And I'm perfectly fine with that.

There's no reason she shouldn't at least offer to pay.

 

Maybe she will reward you wiv a amazing trip away all expenses paid? I feel that's what I would do if a guy kept insisting on paying apart from the fact i never seem to choose generous men, so i dout that would happen ...

I havent 'dated' for years but i was seeing a really wealthy guy (first in my life) this time last year and it was stressful always equally paying for expensive places he chose, when i suggested cheaper places he wasnt into it.. We didnt really 'click' but the stress over the money factor was one issue that made it no fun to hang out at all, in the end i called it quits..
If i do go out i always offer and the men usually take me up on it too!

next time at dinner, simply put your underpants on your head, a couple of wash pegs on your suddenly bare nipples and saucily ask her to 'take me now'

she will think you are insane and take pity, buy you dinner

or get you sectioned. But either way you win, institution food is probably quite nice and it's free.

It's never mattered for me.
Sometimes I pay sometimes she pays.
If you don't make a big deal out of it then it's one less thing you have to worry about.
